Step Back in Time is another catalogue climber in the list, gaining almost double in the past 2 years. It was released right before the fan favourite 'Rhythm of Love' and even became a title of her latest greatest hits. Great job, and I have a feeling it will continue leaping over the songs which are currently in front of her. This is the section we have the most new entries, two of which are technical though: in the previous edition 'Can't Get Blue Monday out of My Head' was seen as a remix of 'Can't Get You out of My Head', but given it is essentially a mash-up and has its own title, I decided to move it to its own place here. Another one is 'What You Waiting For', which wasn't tracked in August 2020, so I don't know its streams as of that time. But even without those two, we have four more new entries here, three of which are the DICSO tracks, finally breaking the pattern of two per each section of 10 slots. 'Dance Floor Darling' was given a low-key single release, but the more upbeat 'Where does the DJ Go?' managed to gain more streams. And here is another recent Kylie feature, now in a remix of the Years and Years' single 'Starstruck', which landed just outside of the top-50. Another collaboration, 'Music's Too Sad Without You', despite falling 10 places, now becomes the third highest 'Golden' track and has a way better longevity than other 'Golden' songs.
August 8, 20222 yr Author And before we move on to the upper half of the top-100, let me give you some ~album stats~ FyOnxPc1VdM Between the 15 studio albums, in the top-100 14 of them are represented to some extent. 1 DISCO 18 2 Kylie Christmas 13 3 Golden 8 4 Aphrodite 7 4 Fever 7 4 Kiss Me Once 7 7 X 5 7 Light Years 5 9 Enjoy Yourself 3 9 Impossible Princess 3 9 Rhythm of Love 3 9 Kylie 3 9 Body Language 3 14 Kylie Minogue 2 By far the biggest represented album is 'DISCO', but mind you, last time it was 'Golden' and it has lost 6 tracks from the top-100 in the past two years. 'Aphrodite' also lost 5 and 'Kiss me Once' lost 4. 'Kylie Christmas' is the album that stays on 13 tracks in the top-100, losing one (100 Degrees) but also gaining one (Oh Santa). Its longevity so far is the best out of the streaming era albums (from 'Aphrodite' till 'Golden'). The only 'DISCO' track, which didn't make the cut, is the Gloria Gaynor duet: 'Can't Stop Writing Songs About You' still had more than 1 million streams but landed only at #137. To me it feels as such a wasted opportunity of having a duet with the classical disco era star. And the only album which doesn't have any representation in the top-100 is 'Let's Get to It', the highest track from it being 'Give Me Just a Little More Time' at #125. And the lead 'Word is Out' is actually only the 4th popular track from the album being only at #193 in the whole list. Seems like it was a bad idea to open the album with it by any measurement. And this is how the overall streams of the studio albums look: 1 1 Fever 448 408 461 2 2 Kylie Christmas 272 149 524 3 14 DISCO 208 592 596 4 3 Aphrodite 110 444 648 5 5 Light Years 107 381 807 6 4 Golden 97 842 829 7 8 Kylie 75 350 264 8 7 X 66 483 066 9 6 Kiss Me Once 65 586 983 10 9 Body Language 46 040 958 11 10 Rhythm of Love 28 450 439 12 12 Enjoy Yourself 20 412 001 13 11 Kylie Minogue 17 721 676 14 13 Impossible Princess 12 509 907 15 15 Let's Get to It 4 121 843 Her 90's albums by far fare the worst, with 'Let's Get to It' as a whole having lower streams than 12 'DISCO' tracks. But what's more emotionally damaging is that many of her albums have less streams than some stand-alone singles. And yes, 'DISCO' is her by far third biggest streamed album now, climbing from #14 (based on early streams of 'Say Something' alone). Another album which gained a place is her debut, now being higher than 'X' and 'Kiss Me Once'. I think if it continues going the way it goes, in 2-3 years it will overtake 'Golden' too. More extra stats to come!

They are here to stay for long. 'DISCO' got us another pair of album tracks, now 'Supernova' and 'I Love It' (the latter was a grat though, and it definitely has helped). Nice traction from 'Hand on Your Heart' as well, it very seems like the fall is temporary and it will regain some spots in the coming years, unless the next album is very popular. Here we have the first of the four singles from 'X' - the lead '2 Hearts', and like with 'Let's Get to It' the lead single became the least streamed one. Another single is 'I Was Gonna Cancel', a flop follow-up to 'Into the Blue', but surprisingly it is also the biggest gainer (in percentages) on the album. Finally, 'Your Disco Needs You' slid down to 45, never-released-as-a-single-in-the UK, yet beating by 3.5 times 'Please Stay', which was released here instead.

This is a very diverse pack of songs, with every track having its own origin, except for two singles from 'Body Language' almost being back-to-back. Despite doing poor on streaming as a whole, Body Language produced three singles, which fare very well in general. I'm very happy 'Chocolate' was released as a single, it adds a lot of value and diversity to her singles collection, and the public seems to like it as well, more than 'Red Blooded Woman', which was pushed way harder in the time of the release. And of course, we still have one more 'Body Language' single to come. 'I Believe in You' released as a lead single from her greatest hits collection 'Ultimate Kylie'. Often artists release sub-par songs as the leads to the greatest hits compilation. It is clearly not the case with 'I Believe in You', which became another Kylie classic, and the numbers prove that. And another classic here, it's 'Confide in Me', which opened the 'Deconstrucion' age and gave us the whole new image of Kylie. 'Especially for You' enjoys an enormous jump within the last two years, helped by the ending of 'Neighbours' lately and will be boosted even more for sure. But there are two tracks which seemingly will continue sliding down pretty fast: 'Beautiful' and 'Right Here, Right Now', both only gained 7% in the two years. 'Beautiful' also had the sharpest slump within the top-50. 'The One', the final single from 'X', opens this top-40, and is the third biggest gainer from the album (the first weirdly being 'Nu-Di-Ty' which gained 80% to 948k plays). And the biggest album track from 'DISCO' is also here: 'Miss a Thing' gained 10 million plays from scratch, amazing feat for a Kylie album track.

August 10, 20222 yr Author 'Chocolate' becoming a bigger streaming hit is a surprise for me too, but a pleasant one, as I very much prefer 'Chocolate'. And 'Beautiful' pretty much stopped gaining in streams, so we can expect the further slumps down. 30-26 fL6FaI-wJxs 30 38 | Santa Claus Is Coming to Town (feat. At the same time that album had very nice streaming initially, which is still felt well throughout this rundown. Right now most of the album streams have stalled, and 'Into the Blue' is no exception. Personally I like some 'Kiss Me Once' tracks (my favourite is actually 'Sleeping with the Enemy'), but the album as a whole felt a bit flat and too... artificial? to me. Even 'Kylie Christmas' album is better in that regard to my taste. Speaking of, we have another huge gainer from it, this time it's 'Santa Claus Is Coming to Town', which racked up almost 10 million streams in the past 2 years, almost double of what it had before. Will it go further? We'll see soon. But I never thought the Christmas album would have so much longevity for her. Now we're past all of the album tracks from 'DISCO' we will see more climbers, but you still need to earn it. One of them is 'Better the Devil You Know', which climbed just one place but soared 80% extra streams in the past 2 years. 'Rhythm of Love's first single is deservedly cementing its place closer to the top of her most streamed songs. It ran over 'Wow', which slid 3 spots but had a healthy streams gain nevertheless. To my surprise, 'Really Don't Like U' also gained very healthily. It will be interesting to watch how it fares in the next 2-3 years: will it continue gaining big and rivalling the big catalogue singles or slow down?

The song is very unique in her catalogue and, as far as I know, gained some fans outside of her usual circle. It also got to #1, but due to the change of sound or for some other reasons the album wasn't that much successful. 'Come into My World' is the only Grammy-winning recording for Kylie and has an amazing music video. Still it's the first single to go from 'Fever' with three more to come. 'Timebomb' is also here. Due to the Friday release, its peak wasn't what it could be and unfortunately I didn't have much longevity in the charts - but has a nice streaming tally nevertheless. Finally, we have a lead of the 'DISCO' re-release. It is still among the most popular Kylie tracks currently, and if it had enough time, it would probably land at around #15. I guess we can see how it catches up to the other singles later.

But it is also the highest track from 'X' beating all the rest fair and square. Definitely a highlight, but it nevertheless swapped places with another highlight, now from 'Light Years', which gained slightly more and that was enough to overtake it. 'I Should Be So Lucky' is a big climber here and has a big chance of overtaking the rest of this batch in the coming several years. Especially 'Stop Me From Falling', which definitely lost traction and doesn't gain much. It is still the bigger gainer of the 'Golden' tracks, most of which gained 11-15%, the worst surprisingly being 'Lost Without You'. 'At Christmas' is gaining steady though and may have legs for more pushes later.
