Mane is not the reason- he is dreadful for Bayern at the moment.

7 goals and 1 assist in 14 games isn't too shabby!

    Shocking news

  • He certainly does deserve a lot of credit but to see him lift the trophy in a parade would be very John Terry Champions League final 2012 🤣

Yeh they were massivrly up for it and thoroughly deserved to win. If anyone other than Liverpool I’m glad a team like Newcastle won it as it’s been so long!

He's not settled well in to Bayern at all (mind you, Bayern are not playing well either).

Our problems are structural - we don't have the players for how we want to play and our defence is extremely low on confidence. The only positive is it's 4 weeks until the World Cup which gives a chance for a re-set. The goals we are conceding are mostly down to players being in poor positions when we lose possession. Can't blame the referees but there was a dreadful performance (and imo a shocking weekend all round in terms of consistency for referees).

Apparently Salah is getting some stick after his hat-trick against Rangers, he went straight down the tunnel after the game without acknowledging the fans.

Was not expecting that! What is mad is we have slightly changed Salah's position to where he is most lethal and we look half decent again. Think the early part of the season was our coaching staff trying to be too inventive and innovative. The good news is I think we have hit rock bottom, so fingers crossed we can put a bit of a run together before the World Cup and be in amongst the Top 4.

Taylor and the officials had a terrible game.

Taylor is a madman like that he lets the game go but nearly lost control because of it.

Knew Liverpool would turn up today as they always do against city!

We've looked so much better with the 442 move though - would argue we create less chances and overloads but we look more defensively solid, which I think we needed to regain some form & confidence. We don't have the midfield for the high octaine 433 playing stupid lopsides.

Gomez and Milner were unreal in their tenacity imo!

Gomez had his best game in ages. Thought Milner did well, could have been completely toast, but that was a display for the ages! I think he is ok there, but he just doesn't have the legs anympre for an intense midfield game, he leaves way too many gaps.

Confirmed on MOTD there that if the City goal wasn't disallowed for the pull on Fabinho, then it would have been disallowed for the tackle on Alisson.
How Darwin Nunez didn't pass the ball to a teammate when Liverpool had a 3 on 1 advantage is beyond me, he looks like he's a very selfish player.
Yeh was screaming at him, don’t know why he couldn’t have passed it! Thankfully it didn’t effect the score line

It was very reminiscent of that Omonoia chance against us right at the end of the first half last week!

This result was pure Premier League. Everything and everyone punting to a City win and look what happened.

He is so raw. He has a lot of great qualities, but his consistency is just not there yet. That said, there is a player in there if Klopp and the team can coach it out of him.

Agree with Dobbo about pure Premier League - I expected us to get beat quite comfortably. City seem to really struggle at Anfield, a bit like how we can fold at Old Trafford. Great result for us though, liking the 442 a lot.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been charged by the Football Association following his sending-off during his side's 1-0 win against Manchester City.

Klopp was dismissed after berating a referee's assistant when a foul was not given for a challenge on Mohamed Salah.
