    Shocking news

  • He certainly does deserve a lot of credit but to see him lift the trophy in a parade would be very John Terry Champions League final 2012 🤣

Yeh they were massivrly up for it and thoroughly deserved to win. If anyone other than Liverpool I’m glad a team like Newcastle won it as it’s been so long!

Looks like Liverpool, the PL’s sleeping giant, has finally woken up.

Looks like it's bedtime again!

How I feel as well  At least the rest of the league will get bored of Man City winning at a canter and we can look forward to Abu Dhabi vs Saudi Arabia for the next 10 years.

Our players are seriously on their feet, too many of them look like they've played a lot of football and the serious lack of investment in midfield has ruined us. Add that to some players look like they are playing like they don't want to get injured (Virgil) then it adds up to a big disjointed mess.

Yeh they are good players though as they’ve shown so I don’t know why they are all so poor and seemingly lacking motivation this year, maybe it’s easy to say that though. M

It’s like watching liverpools team when Souness took over - loads of champions from seasons past playing like chumps!

The majority of these players have won everything they can do - personally I feel there's a lot of tired legs and minds. I even felt this season started too soon it barely felt like a break between the CL final and the league kicking off. Klopp's teams are built on intensity and we don't have any of that. We've been really lucky with injuries, but some of that is poor squad management and Klopp's loyalties. Not only that, the crowd is really poor at the moment.

It is what it is, these things come and go in cycles, we're in transition again and as things stand we're not playing CL next season. The one good with is we have a pre-season again in a few weeks and lots of our players are not going to the World Cup or will be bit-parts and if there's any team that can go on an unbeaten run again it's Liverpool.

Must be absolutely infuriating beating City at home and Spurs away, and then losing to Forest away and Leeds at home.

We're just inconsistent. We're purposely not playing as gung-ho but we are not that solid defensively so our attack suffers when our defence struggles. Injuries havn't helped us at all this season and there was clearly something very wrong with our pre-season and set up in the summer leading to a poor start. Our midfield is still a glaringly obvious weakness and one that I suspect we will address, it's just when that's the problem..

Yeh annoying we can beat spurs away and city at home but lose to Leeds and Forest, World Cup hopefully coke at a good time although i think all teams players are exhausted at the minute!

Liverpool's owners say they "would consider new shareholders" following reports that the club is up for sale.

The Athletic reported that Fenway Sports Group (FSG), which bought Liverpool in 2010, is "inviting offers".

FSG said it "remains fully committed to the success of Liverpool, both on and off the pitch".

Liverpool were awful against Brighton, what happened?

Our well oiled machine is very broken at the moment. We have no front press and our midfield options are not good enough. Any Liverpool fan could have told you Brighton would beat us comfortably today. Klopp did some weird formation change today which didn't help matters either.

Just one of those things, take the medicine this year and still signs of a really good team. Just needs the right investment in the summer.

They were staying in a hotel a couple hundred yards from me so I placed a curse on them :D

Not the greatest of games between Liverpool and Chelsea today, expected more probably shows where both teams are at the moment.
