    Shocking news

  • He certainly does deserve a lot of credit but to see him lift the trophy in a parade would be very John Terry Champions League final 2012 🤣

Yeh they were massivrly up for it and thoroughly deserved to win. If anyone other than Liverpool I’m glad a team like Newcastle won it as it’s been so long!

There's something seriously wrong with our away form this season. I think a lot of it comes down to what most Liverpool fans have been saying for over 12 months - we have no physicality or bite in midfield for these away games. Just typical of our season tbh. Almost stank of us trying to rock up in 2nd gear and rest legs for Madrid too.

First penalty in a year and it's skied over the bar - can't make that shit up

Ha that sums up liverpools season yday!! Piss poor away from home. Bet we will beat Chelsea, City and Arsenal and lose to Leeds and Forest in our next 5 🤣.

That’s though why last Sunday was so hilarious it totally went against form and predictions!

Mat least Dobbo and Mack came into the United forum to take the hit unlike others who didn’t comment and then laughed today 🤔

How do people see the Chelsea game going?

We'll fluke a win or get tonked. We are so low on confidence, dreadful away from home and don't have a functioning midfield. Pretty much been the season from hell, I remember the days the season would finish at the start of Mat, not the end

It's never boring being a Liverpool fan. We turned in one of the most turgid performances for 40 minutes to one of the best attacking displays I've seen us have under Klopp. Can we play all our games at Anfield please
It was an entertaining match between Liverpool and Arsenal. For me this was another sign that Arsenal won't win the league this season, they needed to win this match and even though Ramsdale saved them from getting nothing I don't think it will be enough by the season's end. It could even come down to goal difference but I don't see them finishing top, also expecting a Liverpool style drop off for them next season.

I feel this is Arsenal's time, not sure the team will have it in them to go again next season. I could be completely wrong. The second half today was vintage Liverpool, we are in a bad shape biut it's clear as day what we need to compete again. I can't see Liverpool and Chelsea being that far behind again next season.

I don't think Liverpool and Chelsea will be as far behind next season either but Chelsea look like a real mess tbh, can't imagine them being in a title race next season with the lack of stability throughout the club and no Champions League football to entice top name signings. It feels like every traditional top club in the Premier League has had a big drop off in at least one of the recent seasons except for Man City. I wish there could be a season when they're languishing near mid table but it will be a long time until that happens, if they were to win it this season then seeing them go for an unprecedented 4th title in a row in the Premier League era would be a tough watch.

Yeh enjoyed the Arsenal game. Think city will win the league but would like arsenal to just for a change!

The whole "can't attract players because of no CL football" is a bit of a red herring. If someone pays enough, has the right vision and strategy it's what players buy in to. It's why Liverpool are still favourites to sign Bellingham as long as they sanction the finance for the deal. England should hae 5 spots for the CL the following season as well, so even less of an issue. Chelsea's problem will be they need to sell a lot of their players, even more so if they don't have European football. They have a very good squad though, the right manager can turn that around.

I don't rate Chelsea's squad at all outside of a few players. 80% of those players don't care for the club they're just there because of the pay check.

I think with the right coach they could be right up there next season again, this years a blip. Just look at Arsenal under Arteta they aren’t that much different from what Arteta inherited but he’s a decent coach who has raised their level a lot since he arrived especially this season!

The players being attracted thing is true too United weren’t in the champions league for a few years there but can still sign players like Casimero, Eriksen and Varane because of their name and pay some of the best wages in Europe. You guys have a lot to thank Fergie for….

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been charged by the Football Association for his comments about referee Paul Tierney after his side's 4-3 win against Tottenham on Sunday.

The German, who said he regretted the headlines created by his comments, said Tierney appears to have something "against" his team.

The FA alleged Klopp's comments constitute "improper conduct".

Klopp has until Friday, 5 May to respond to the charge.

I think he deserved this!

His actions and comment post game were pretty tasteless. He'll get a ban, but Tierney is comfortably the worst referee in the league and him and his team are either genuinely shite or have it in for Klopp.

On a more positive note, there are really pleasing signs for Liverpool. 5 wins in a row and likely to qualify for Europe - huge win. Don't think we will challenge for the title next year but considering how awful we have been this year, we won't finish too far behind 3rd and 4th. Suspect we will go under the radar over the summer, but some great signs for next season at the moment.

Not sure I want Europa League football though! Would rather just start afresh!

European football is a necessity. It’s good for financials (mainly internal income from the stadium) but we have such a bloated squad we need the competition. It’s another way to the Champions League and we can play younger players without the pressure of a CL game. I get the feeling to start afresh, but we need European football imo. I think the whole Thursday-Sunday thing is a bit of a myth.

The noise at anfield during the national anthem was great to see, very proud to be a Liverpool fan after that. Virgil’s face standing in the line up was equally funny!
