David Guetta guetting hits in 2022 is a mystery to me but I guess it demonstrates how bad the state of popular dance music is right now, some exceptions aside.

Guetta feat. Becky Hill is the most guaranteed way of getting a top ten hit in the UK as somehow streaming services always prioritize them.

It won't last.

But I am legitimately convinced he contributes nothing to his own music these days. Without meaning to sound like Bjork (heaven forbid), 'Heartbreak Anthem' and the new one sound 100% like Galantis and Sigala and 0% like David Guetta and I am wholly convinced all of his own music in the last few years is ghost-produced just to have his name attached to it.

I'm pretty sure there have been rumours that he has done little to nothing on his own music for more or less his entire career.

Apple:

3 I'm Blue

28 +42 MK & BURNS - Better (feat. Teddy Swims)

29 NEW The 1975 - I'm In Love With You

66 NEW Sigala, David Guetta & Sam Ryder - Living Without You

92 NEW Dermot Kennedy - Kiss Me

There's Rihanna's song Right Now from 2013 (I think), it says "ft. David Guetta" but then I found out it is actually a Nicky Romero song and they just put his name on it. But I wouldn't be surprised if a LOT of chart music isn't written or produced (or possibly even sung) by who they say they are. You can easily lie about a pop star writing their own music and nobody can question it because nobody is ever actually there when the songs are made, and there are millions of people who would be willing to be ghost-writers. You won't be famous but you'll still be given loads of money and will have a life of luxury for agreeing to go along with it.

Let's also not forget David Guetta's biggest hit "Titanium" was actually produced by Afrojack

Yet I doubt Afrojack produces his own songs nowadays. The co-producer who become the co-produced. :heehee:

Spotify Chart Update (02/09)

Looks ever more increasingly likely that I'm Good will be heading for #1 on Spotify this week then. Hopefully this forthcoming Lewis Capaldi track underperforms so it can make it officially next week (I suspect it'll be too much of an uphill battle to beat BOTA this week) but that probably won't happen. Impressive climb there for Hold Me Closer too, glad to see it will be having some longevity. In more important news hooray for Drugs from Amsterdam looking likely to be a future hit now, entering in the top 200 today, it wouldn't surprise me if this has a very quick climb to the top like ATF/BOTA before it.

I know it's not the no.1 overall due to Eliza Rose having multiple versions but in a way can't believe "As it Was" is no.1 on Spotify in September STILL considering released April 1.
i'm so happy for bebe, she deserves it

Makes more sense when you consider he's currently touring which is giving his songs a boost
