Posted September 14, 20222 yr Chart 16.9.22 This week, Ghost easily claim the #1 with 'Mary On A Cross'. They were hot on Dermot's heels last week, but he had a 1 day advantage allowing him to get the #1. This week, 'Mary On A Cross' easily overtakes, being streamed over 120 times in the last week :o. Dermot slips to #2 with 'Kiss Me', and Lewis Capaldi's return gets him a top 3 debut as 'Forget Me' opens at #3. Ava Max and Lizzo finish the top 5. Nicki Minaj also vaults a huge 13 spots to a new peak of #8 with 'Super Freaky Girl'! There are plenty of new entries this week, including several from Nina Nesbitt. Shoutout to Piran for recommending me listen to Alaskar, its a brilliant album! Some album tracks from it chart this week and expect more into next week too! The highest of those tracks is 'Limited Edition' at #14. I hope against all odds is managed to but I'm dissapointed at the reaction to this era so far. Loving 2 be loved. It's awesome! Definitely her best song thus far! No Time is a good song though I got bored of that one quite quickly. Hold me closer finally entering. Hiwpdully this can be a smash here. Just need to see the official video but I hope it's not animated again. Heartstrings is great and it might be my favourite Ella song from her whole discography. Fab chart ^_^
September 15, 20222 yr Hey Conor. Nice to see Ghost top your chart as well. I still prefer 'Square Hammer' the only other song of theirs I've heard before via BJSC but this is great. I just hope it isn't the slow version radio will continue playing on the chart for as long as it's in the top 40 for but I fear it might be. 'Heartstrings' is fab and in an ideal world would be a nice fairly sized hit but alas probably isn't going to be and not being top 100 in the mids certainly isn't a reassuring sign. Deserves better. 'Hold Me Closer' has grown a bit more now but I'm still not massively loving it really. Pleased for Britney though as she needs this with all she has been through. Great stuff! Yeah Ghost had the advantage, but don't worry, Kiss Me will stay very stable for the time being! Yeah I agree, this era is being slept on for Ava, both singles have been incredible! Yep, 2 Be Loved is easily her best song! I like No Time but there are better songs on the album. Hold Me Closer could climb a bit but I don't think it'll be a hit i'm afraid. but who knows, Cold Heart peaked in my top 10 over a month after its debut so anything could happen!
