No new songs on there?

I doubt they’ll want to be promoting anything new at the moment, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is just a label decision - they’ve not even posted about it on their Instagram.

May as well have just went to Apple Music and add their Foo Fighters Essentials from there!

Yes, that is the point of an ‘essential’ album! But now it has a physical release.

Nothing from Sonic Highways, and I’m surprised that Run isn’t on here!

Same, I really think Something From Nothing and Run should have been included!

Home and Next Year are my two favourite Foo Fighters songs, I've always liked their ballads. Not that I'd ever expect them to be compiled on albums like these.

This feels like an odd release. Lots of tracks that were already on the last GHs.

As someone mentioned, wouldn't be surprised if this was a complete label decision. And GH... Part II release would make more sense in my eyes!

It looks like this has now replaced 'Greatest Hits' as the GH Foo Fighters album forever appearing in the album chart Top 100, with their previous one dropping out the week this entered.

I'm not complaining, I probably prefer the tracklist of this one overall.

Oh that's interesting, I hadn't noticed that. I remember 'Greatest Hits' was still in the midweeks around the same position as it was the previous week when this one was first entering which led me to believe most of their catalogue streams were still going to that with the new album charting mostly on physical sales, but I guess they must have changed their mind midweek.

(and indeed just checked and 'Greatest Hits' was #49 in the album streaming chart the previous week, but then dropped out with 'The Essential Foo Fighters' entering at #44).
