September 30, 20222 yr It's all about 2010s boybands for me - One Direction were the first I fell in love with though I did like JLS beforehand. My top 5 boybands and my 3 fave songs by each of them: 1. One Direction (What Makes You Beautiful / Drag Me Down / Night Changes) 2. Why Don't We (Hooked / 8 Letters / Love Back) 3. The Vamps (All Night / Can We Dance / Wild Heart) 4. 5 Seconds of Summer (She Looks So Perfect / Good Girls / Who Do You Love) 5. FO&O (Gotta Thing About You / Buzzkill / My Girl) Of course, One Direction are basically unbeatable for me. They offered strong singles and albums, and I adored the one time I saw them live as a group too. I wish I could relive the 1D years all over again! Why Don't We are the closest any boyband's come to their impact, though, and I feel like I fully appreciated their run (so far, unlike 1D I don't believe their "hiatus" is basically code for permanent split, due to the legal situations dampening their career as a band), but I really wish things hadn't paused on such a bad note. They had SUCH a strong run of singles and vocally they were brilliant too, all 5 of them knew where each other's strengths laid so every track was vocally perfect. They desperately deserved to break through! The Vamps had such a hold on me for their first few eras, and I still adore them of course - I've seen them more than any other artist. Their debut album is my favourite boyband album, but subsequent albums have been a little patchy in parts so that's what puts 1D and WDW ahead. 5SOS have been consistently great from the start, right through to 5SOS5 coming out last week, and they ALWAYS deliver live too. FO&O are the least well known, having only impacted in Sweden (also under their previous names The Fooo and The Fooo Conspiracy), but their self-titled album is truly brilliant - pop perfection! - and Felix and Oscar have delivered some impeccable solo material too. Away from the top 5, I really liked CNCO's second era, and BTS have a bunch of tracks I think are brilliant (plus I saw them at Wembley and they were really good). Wasn't so keen on The Wanted at the time but have warmed to them since, and I still really like many JLS tracks! New Hope Club's debut album was excellent but I'm not so keen on the new material, while The Tide showed great potential (had SO much fun seeing them live countless times) but their album was clearly thrown together and produced on the cheap to wrap up their record contract so they could go their separate ways. PRETTYMUCH were on a roll for a while but lost me for the most part a few years back. Some other boybands I've liked at least one song from (including lesser known ones): Rixton, The Shades, New Rules, SMILO, Suite 16, Union J, After Romeo, Apollo 5, CD9, HomeTown, Citizen Four, In Real Life, Roadtrip and, I'm surprised they've not been mentioned yet, but Jonas Brothers! As for older boybands, McFly are another I've come round to more in recent times and saw them on their reunion tour a few years ago with my sister (who LOVED them), it was lots of fun! Take That have a bunch of tunes too. I've not explored many others that far and I find some of the most famous 90s boyband songs a little annoying (Everybody (Backstreet's Back) is mute-worthy for me oops), but perhaps there are more gems around their discographies that I don't know.

October 1, 20222 yr Never really been into boy bands as such but I did LOVE Blue! Their first three studio albums are excellent and they put on a great show I saw them twice. Outside of them I quite like Backstreet Boys and One direction have a few good singles but I can’t stand them as an actual band they have no stage charisma at all. I’m not a fan but I have grown to quite like westlife I don’t know their albums but they have quite a few good singles when you’re looking like that is possibly the best boyband song ever! Boy bands I actively don’t like… probably the wanted i never liked them at all thought they were naff no stage charisma at all and didn’t really like the songs, then when they slagged off Britney and Christina I just thought nah!
October 1, 20222 yr I’ll have to do a proper list at some point but A1 - Learn To Fly is one of my favourites.
October 2, 20222 yr Author GNGH6E7-pFQ Yes. They've reached my FYP on Tik Tok :cheeseblock: OBSESSED!
October 2, 20222 yr Oh I forgot the Jonas Brothers I do quite like them, bought their last album Happiness Begins and quite enjoyed it plus what a man gotta do should have been HUGE it was brilliant! Also a casual fan of JLS they had a few bops and I ended up downloading their greatest hits which was enjoyable. I always felt sorry for them that One Direction eclipsed their success when I thought JLS were much better.
