Or another my hope for Robbie's concerts is a legendary The Palais Garnier in Paris.

George performed there during his Symphonica Tour for his DVD and it has been one of the best concerts what I've seen ever - my personal Top-10.

For me The Netherlands look more right due to Dutch orchestra but anyway, let's be happy he will do that special XXV with orchestra anyway!

It's a rather smart decision to do some orhestral shows and standard Best of Tour :D

What an amazing building and what an honour for him to be able to perform there.

I hope the live stream is video as well as audio.

Interesting that he talks in the interview abut his health in general , I wonder if he finds the touring tough on the body

I'm impressed at how fit and agile he is considering he's 48. He can still move about the stage with suppleness and grace.

I wonder how his back is these days?

Not good, he says that he has arthritis, you can see it in him but he still keeps going . He's amazing

I forgot to say that I think it was the most 'Morrissey' performance by Robbie in his career : )))

I agree, he was a bit 'Morrissey' there :P

I often read that people compare his looks with him. Sorry, to say I only know Morissey by name and that he is quite controversial. Was he very famous? or influential? Otherwise I need to read wikipedia :-)

Morrissey was a frontman of The Smiths.

In my opinion The Cure, The Smits and Depeche Mode have been the most influencial bands for that time and for further indie rock bands.

Then Morissey went to solo, also successfully and yes, he has always been quite controversial but very melodical in his songs.

He is not trend now because his lyrics mostly do not support political mode, etc.

Robbie Williams: exclusive biography extract says Morrissey considered duet – but only if it ended with a kiss

https://www.nme.com/blogs/nme-blogs/robbie-...ey-kiss-2142550

Morrissey once asked Robbie Williams to kiss him onstage “like Britney and Madonna”, Williams reveals in an exclusive new extract from his forthcoming official biography, Reveal.

Though the onstage kiss never happened, Williams says he was “bang up for that”, adding that “I’d have wrestled him to the floor and dominated him.” He thinks Morrissey was “maybe a bit bluffing. But I wasn’t.”

Williams goes on to recall a quote Morrissey had previously made about him in which he said “everything about Williams is fantastic… apart from the voice and the songs.”

Read the extract in full below:

He’s not sure where the initial idea came from, but he was told that Morrissey wanted to duet if Rob would agree to Morrissey’s two stipulations:

‘We sing one of his songs, which was great, it’s a song called “I Like You”. And at the end he wanted to kiss like Britney and Madonna.’

Perhaps Morrissey imagined that this second request would automatically kill the idea, but of course Rob immediately agreed.

‘I was bang up for that. Kissing Morrissey! That would have been great. Because he’s just got, like, a fiercely brilliant face. You know, watching the idolatry that surrounds him, thousands and thousands of straight men I think would sleep with Morrissey. And I might not sleep with Morrissey but I’d have a cuddle and a kiss. It would have been amazing.’

But it was not to be.

‘I think he was probably maybe a bit bluffing. Maybe. But I wasn’t. I’d have wrestled him to the floor. And dominated him. I don’t even know if I’d get a kick out of thinking that he tried to call my bluff. But I’m un-bluffable when it comes to stuff like that. I think it might have been something that he considered that day, then quickly rescinded. Like he does.’

All that remains, instead, is the assessment of Rob that Morrissey gave to The Word magazine two years before that.

‘A fantastic quote about me,’ says Rob, ‘even though it was horrible.’

What Morrissey said was this: ‘Personally I think that almost everything about Robbie Williams is fantastic … apart from the voice and the songs. He seems to have everything in place, the photos are fantastic, he’s reasonably amusing, he’s undeterred and he’s not precious about what he does. I admire all of that.’

‘Except,’ Rob says, laughing, ‘the voice and the songs.’

This is somehow nice, he was there I think 6 times and also with Take That.

Do you remember when he sat on teh couch with anna Betrebko, 2003 I think?

I was not even a fan back then but remember that I told my mother 'look at this guy he is even stealing the show of Thomas Gottschalk" (who was the most famous tv personality in Germany back then).

I can see this in the Netherlands so will prepare myself for 4 hour television :-)

Yes, sure. During this episode there also was Roger Federer so it has been the best episode ever :)
