^ Yes, although the last song to debut at #1 on its parent album's release was Eminem and Juice WRLD's 'Godzilla' in Jan 2020, and before that, Ariana Grande's 'break up...' in Feb 2019.

Ah thanks for that, completely forgot about those two! I reckon Taylor could easily go top 3 next week given it’s her first album of new material since folklore/evermore but as Waspbre said, If she’d done a build up lead single she might have had more chance.

problem I see we have quite a strong #1, Sam/Kim are doing ca. 500K

Apple:

4 Stormzy

21 Oliver Tree & Robin Schulz - Miss You

70 re Arctic Monkeys - Body Paint

the other Miss You seems to have dropped out of the t100...

Yes, "Willow" opened with 35K but i could see the Lana Collab being massive. Would be nice to see Lana get her first ever UK no.1. But aside from new material "All Too Well (Taylor's Version)" opened with 58K last year! so maybe there is a chance.

Lana fans are already raging, apparently Lana just signs backing vocals, she's been HAIM-ized!!!!

as opposed to Phoebe Bridgers who got to sing her own verse in Nothing New.

guess you mean 350K and 580K

Hide and seek actually looking like being a decent sized hit with this slow climbing Spotify chart run

Both versions of miss you stalling and stabilising, I actually don’t think the Schulz version (or southstar) will hit #1 officially now

Schulz not able to get any higher than #3 for the moment

Am I right in thinking a song called 'Anti-Hero' is being pushed as the main first single?

It is and from the snippet that leaked earlier, it feels 1989 for me, so maybe there is hope.

About the Lana song (the only song that leaked in full from the album by now) yeah, very good, not gonna be a single and yap, Lana doesn't have her own verse, just a few lines and background (very good) vocals.

It seems to be the lead single with the video dropping on Friday too.

the reviews I read said more Lover than 1989, which made me think of cancelling my order :D

I loved 'Lover'! Apart from a questionable lead single, I thought it was full of great songs - Afterglow, Cruel Summer, Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince, The Man, Lover, Cornelia Street and It's Nice To Have a Friend were all top tier for me!
Do those sales from streams on songs (singles and album tracks) count on the reported total record sales of the artists or they only consider albums ( physical or download sales )?

It's just us Swifties panicking for no reason, it's not Lover and even Lover has very good song, it's just the 2 singles and London Boy ruined this album but it's not that bad, anyway it's more 1989, at least this one :)

Trun, ME!, YNTCD and LB ruined it. Death by a 1000 cuts is a masterpiece.

I have a soft spot for YNTCD - I don't really get the hate other than 'Cruel Summer' should have been pushed as a single instead maybe. 'ME!' and 'London Boy' are awful though I agree.
