I wonder if the lack of success for the EFY vinyl put them off arranging a PP vinyl prior to release - I know they are not comparable (30 year old single versus a new release), but EFY seemed to sell extremely poorly - even with the 50% off reduction there still seems to be ample available.

I still think we will either get a vinyl or remix CD. Wonder if it be used to add to an album bundle with a new colour variant later?

Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

The EFY campaign shouldn't be compared to vinyl singles for new material. I didn't buy or want anything from that campaign, and I'm a hardcore fan!

Second week of being close to the song ahead of it :drama:

On the plus side it was a bit of a distance in sales from #10

3,6,45,63 on UK Itunes.

Absolute 6 and still nothing from BMG about the release today, it Foulden have easily got top 5 and will probably fall back tomorrow without any push from her team.

147k of sales is excellent so maybe in 3 more weeks over the 200k mark

Also exiting the top tier are React (6-11, 22,967 sales) by Switch Disco & Ella Henderson and Padam Padam (10-12, 21,976 sales) by Kylie Minogue. Padam Padam nevertheless bounces 2-1 (2,338 sales) on the digital downloads chart which it leads for the sixth time in its eight-week chart run. As it also recorded 20 additional cassette sales in a market in which only 27 such sales occurred it would also be No.1 on the cassette singles chart, if such a thing still existed.

So from this we can work out:

19,618 - Streaming

2,338 - Downloads

20 - Cassettes

Also it's 991 sales behind #11, not 9!

The fact that this week's #7 sold 24,946, but Kylie had two weeks of selling more than that but being #9 (25,867) and #8 (25,549) <_<

To be honest I’m happy with the sales, even if the position is not in the top-10, but it’s not that important anymore! Hopefully another week or two on 20k+ units.

Looks like D Block Europe stabilised in the end, they were lagging all week!

So from this we can work out:

19,618 - Streaming

2,338 - Downloads

20 - Cassettes

Still what an achievement, she really is doing amazing with downloads isnt she hun!

When do we find out which songs are on ACR hun?

If 4 songs do go on ACR a head of her, it will give her chance to do well next week as well hun.

Seems to me that all 4 will be on ACR next week - let's celebrate :cheer:

Last week:

03. 34,191 Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding - Miracle

04. 29,312 Jazzy - Giving Me

05. 26,447 Rudimental, Charlotte Plank & Vibe Chemistry - Dancing Is Healing

06. 25,190 Switch Disco & Ella Henderson - REACT

This week:

04. 29,821 Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding - Miracle (-4,370)

05. 27,978 Jazzy - Giving Me (-1,334)

09. 24,678 Rudimental, Charlotte Plank & Vibe Chemistry - Dancing Is Healing (-1,769)

11. 22,967 Switch Disco & Ella Henderson - REACT (-2,223)

So with those out of the picture, it's likely that all these will be higher in the charts next week than Padam Padam: 1. Dave - Sprinter, 2. Olivia Rodrigo - vampire, 3. J Hus - Who Told You, 4. Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer, 5. Peggy Gou - (It Goes Like) Nanana, 6. Hannah Laing - Good Love, 7. D-Block Europe - Pakistan. Then it's a question of whether any of the Taylor Swift - Speak Now (Taylor's Version) tracks will outsell Padam Padam, and/or new D-Block Europe tracks do anything significant.

Hopefully a return to the Top 10 can happen, but my ongoing desire for it to get to #7 looks ever so unlikely. It's just a shame that next week, Padam Padam will likely be higher than React, Dancing Is Healing, As It Was, Giving Me and Miracle, which were all above her in the week Padam Padam peaked at #8. Oh well, it's the way it goes!

There’s also never ending saga of ‘As It Was’ with higher streams than Kylie and still on SCR, hopefully it continues falling and doesn’t bother us much.
It would have been nice to get a 4th week top 10 but 12 is still very good and hopefully it might climb back into the UK top 10 again.

Played on Hollyoaks tonight :cheer:

Still A Listed on BBC Radio 2 for another week :cheer:
