Is this woman allergic to releasing on a Friday?

I think it might be more the label but whoever it is needs to get their allergies to Friday releases sorted.

Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

I will never understand the supposed logic behind releasing on Thursday. :( "She gets more attention than she would on Friday" seems baseless to me.

Would Radio 2 honestly decline to premiere her song on a Friday? I don't see that they would, they're supportive of her. So clearly BMG themselves see value in a Thursday release, but what results do they see to make them pleased with such a tactic?

I know it doesn't make much difference but for maximum visibility for first week it would be nice if we all download the single on Friday and today just stream and watch the video premiere.

Enjoy the song and video everyone.

I think Monday would suit BMG better if they are determined to be different. Especially with Kylie whose singles attract her fanbase first before potentially breaking through to the general public.

I think on a Monday it could get completely lost.

I guess Thursday is grabbing some limelight on a quiet day and hoping it carries on into Friday.

They are releasing video straight away which is unusual for BMG so that's a little different.

Will be interesting who has done the remixes. Tiesto or Harris would be good. Probably Initial talk and Heldens

BMG literally only care about albums - singles are nothing more than buzz tracks and for building album sales.

Really frustrates me with the Thursday release but it seems a blanket approach with all their artists rather than looking at the fanbase of each artist.

In a way I agree as I think it would be better for kylies opening sales to be all counted within the same week.

Bbc radio 2 really do support her well.

Nice build up, nice premiere and Kylid obviously loves the song so that makes it even more infectious.

Love it on first listen! If this was anyone else’s song it could be massive! hope she gets some support !

It's definitely catchy, although it isn't reminiscent of Slow at all.

At 2:46, isn't it one of Kylie's shortest singles ever?

Heard padam on R2 this morning. It got a good reaction but I’m still not a fan. It’s one of her weakest lead singles for me and just doesn’t compare with many of her other fantastic leads like all the lovers, confide in me, spinning around or slow.
The video clip shown in Lorraine looks fun. Lots of dancers in various places. My fears have settled. I don't think it's Sophie Muller either

Had it on repeat since it dropped.

Absolutely love it - I was disappointed with ‘Say Something’ and this is exactly what I wanted from Kylie
