Last week Kylie slipped a little as the week went on and had a little jump towards the end of the week due to the new download remix.

 

This week so far she is holding up at 24. Would be nice if it can stay there at least.

Oh thanks hun so is that 1525 additional sales from yesterday? That is wonderful news mt hun, it fills me so much joy to see this. I am ancient and not as clued up on all this streaming stuff as I was on the charts before streaming was included.

 

Does anyone know the sales figure for number 20?

So Kylie is behind 989 sales to be number 20.

 

Yesterday she was 861 behind number 20.

 

So considering after the first 4 days she was 861 behind number 1, roughly 200 and a bit sales per day on average. Falling behind just another 128 is ok. It isnt like shes not gaining any sales which would mean she could drop a lot. Looks like it is holding steady.

 

What do you huns think? You are all much more knowledgable about this than me.

Hope it at least climbs a little by Friday, think top 20 this week is looking unlikely now but even if it ends at like 22-24 this week and then hopefully low top 20 next week, then i’m hopeful for a top 15 on cd release week, don’t think it’ll crack the top 10 unfortunately but a top 15-20 peak with about 6+ weeks top 40 would still be a huge achievement

Ya it looks unlikely and for a while I really thought it would get there.

Top 20 does seem out of reach this week... the gap between #20 and #24 increased compared to yesterday hmm.

 

With the benefit of hindsight, the Extended Mix probably would have been better saved for this week rather than last week! Padam Padam could still have made it as high as #27, maybe #28 at the very worst, without those sales. However this week that boost of Extended Mix sales could have got it into the Top 20. Oh well!

 

I think BMG should release something new tomorrow on the Kylie store, even if it's just an instrumental, or an acoustic - maybe not as exciting a purchase as the extended mix, but could still do something.

 

If Week 2 isn't destined to be a Top 20 week, I really hope Week 3 can be!

The Kylie store should drop another remix to buy from their store or add the extended mix to i tunes. I guess they wont add the extended mix anywhere until the CDs have shipped. Who knows, but they could do something small and simple this week to push the song into the top 20.

Maybe the leaps on Spotify and that strong hold just outside the top 10 on Apple may help it?

Good spot! Yes maybe some missing streams because she is actually doing loads better overall on streaming. It is a mystery. Hopefully it is nothing for me to worry about?

Honestly, it doesn't make much sense. It's up on Amazon as well this week...

 

That's confusing... something dodgy afoot?

Video streams as of last Tuesday: 109k

Video streams as of last Wednesday: 133k

 

And assuming that the video streams are mainly free, I’d apply a 500:1 ratio, that means last Wednesday it gained around 50 (!) streams from videos last time. It cannot be that the video streams played any significant role in the week-on-week streaming decline.

 

The only logical explanation is that someone didn’t report a data for yesterday or both yesterday and two days ago, compared just to the previous day in yesterday’s report.

17% up WoW makes sense... it has gained in streaming but lost in sales. It's still a good increase overall.
