She is doing a set of intimate shows with purchase of a CD which will help her and her upcoming tour has sold out so she might do better than expected maybe!

I still think likely outcome is #3 though.

I have a bad feeling she might beat slowthai tbh (I'm expecting his sales to drop a bit as the reception for his last album - and this one so far - was a bit more mixed than for his debut). Although yes would expect The Lathums to be #1 probably.
depends on what the plan is for release week i suppose ;)

Anything is possible if you want it enough. Sam managed to beat SZA to #1 :cheer:

Did anyone expect SZA to beat Sam though...?

i mean it depends what their strategy is for release week...

one of the tracks has a big collab that isn't on the album, so if they release that during the week, it might boost sales... though i imagine they'll wait

Is that the

Martin Garrix

one I read about somewhere?

There were people who didn't think Sam would get #1 before SZA announced her album. If Mimi has a fanbase who will download and purchase additional CD and Vinyl on top of streaming then anything is possible.

Freezing is the next single released with the album at midnight tonight. theres also a music video. confirmed on instagram

Gave this a listen on my walk after work today. Nice enough album.

House on Fire, Red Flags, Freezing, Last Train to London, Ghost of You are the highlights for me.

Amelia (the track) is actually really quite nice and her voice sounds nice on it. Freezing is just another House on Fire but with worse vocals. Last Train To London is quite possibly one of the worst songs I've listened to this year. House on Fire, Ghost of You and Ameila are good.

I admire her for doing well in a time where most female single are struggling in the UK. However I just can't see where the hype is, it's very bad repetitive song writing and copy and paste style. The voice is something I cant get my head round. But I really hope this does well for her, she seems lovely!

I have to say the comments regarding her voice confuse me a bit, I saw a live performance of her (Graham Norton maybe?) and she sounded… fine, not the best singer but I don’t think she stands out as terrible.

Album is quite good for a debut too!

By a control mile, Freezing is the best thing she’s ever done. It is very much House On Fire but with the fun dial switched up.
