February 23, 20232 yr I remain skeptical because it was only last week people were calling Marcus and Martinus the Melfest winners. Loreen isn’t a huge star in Sweden there is no guarantee they will choose her over someone new. Edited February 23, 20232 yr by Chloe00x
February 23, 20232 yr Any fan looking at Twitter this morning would be under the impression Loreen was the only one that released her song today. The fan press were clearly eagerly anticipating Loreen's song but ignoring the other 6 songs in the heat isn't professional. It's the strongest heat overall and I wonder if wiwibloggs are part of the international jury like every. other. national. final. Tattoo sounds a little like The Winner Takes It All. February 23, 20232 yr Someone could tell me Kiana - "Where Did You Go" is a Sigala song and I would believe it. It's a bit boppy :music: Edited February 23, 20232 yr by Megan_
February 23, 20232 yr Loreen isn’t a huge star in Sweden there is no guarantee they will choose her over someone new. Eh, I'd say Loreen is a well-known "star" here and is generally well-liked, but as we've seen huge stars flop again and again in the rankings it'll all come down to the song itself.
February 23, 20232 yr Yeah this feels like the only heat that's been anywhere near what I'd call normal MF quality. Smash Into Pieces are naturally a fave but Kiana and Signe & Hjordis have some really good things going on too. And Mariette! k i guess Loreen is also good w/e but jeez Sweden you could have spread some of these bangers out into the other dead weight heats
February 23, 20232 yr This heat definitely sounds promising, I've barely returned to the songs from the first three heats at all, aside from Theoz, LouLou Lamotte and Melanie Wehbe from last week. I was thinking how this is the first year ever where I could take or leave all six of the finalists so far, lots of solid 7/10 and 8/10 songs but none I'm dying to drop on Spotify like usual. I'm relying on this heat and the 'semi-final' to bulk up the hype level for me of the final.
February 23, 20232 yr The Loreen song doesn’t sound as instant as Euphoria but at least it already sounds better than most of the songs selected for other countries. If she gets beat to the win, I’m hoping the Swedish entry will be up near the top
February 23, 20232 yr I do worry the twinks will beat her but that sounds HUGE, how can I not love The Winner Takes It All with a drop??
February 23, 20232 yr I hope she does well. I fear this could just do a statements again - which left me devastated!
February 23, 20232 yr She certainly has the hype this time and sounds like a more commercial song to safely pass to the final. Not sure I trust Sweden to vote it as the overall winner though. Maria Sur I could see winning the public vote and Marcus & Martinus will smash on that and with the juries. Loreen will probably get the support of the juries but how the public will vote I don’t know.
February 24, 20232 yr eugh.....does everything have to be covered in vocoder? Are you talking about Loreen? What vocoder? I'd be absolutely confident that her live vocal will sound exactly like that snippet. The one thing I love most about her is how she uses her voice like a musical instrument. Even when she's not singing actual words, there's intricacy and melody in all the flourishes she does. She's an outstanding vocalist.
February 24, 20232 yr I've been well out the loop of Eurovision this year so I had no idea she was returning... and it sounds like it's going to be a massive BANGER! MY GOD! AAHHHH. The staging looks amazing too! FFUUUUCCCKK
February 24, 20232 yr I’ve seen 4 (!!!) Tik Toks of Loreen and her song already. All had over 1k likes (highest was at like 4.5k I think) Don’t wanna set myself up for disappointment but… I think it’s looking good for her! Edit: This just means that I’m gonna be so annoyed if I don’t get tickets lmao!

February 24, 20232 yr Sensational. With every growing minute I become more and more excited. Unless something catastrophic happens, DTF no doubt. I know there is STATEMENTS that looms over Loreen's head, but this already feels like it's off to a stronger start. In terms of the entire thing, it's tough to say as we've yet to hear the full song or see a full performance but Loreen's not leaving anything left on the table with this one. Based on what I've heard, this should take out the whole damn thing. No Air is cute. Maria Sur's song is so dated. Nothing else has stood out this year at all. I've already forgotten about the rest of the songs this year, and putting Loreen last and releasing all the songs at once definitely bodes well in her favour. I have no interest in really listening to anything BUT Loreen from Melfest this year (and to date, I've only added Wiktoria's song to my playlists). Edited February 24, 20232 yr by Aaron.
