October 22, 20222 yr Oh this could actually be good, Drake and 21 is usually a good combo. (We don't talk about 'Mr. Right Now', their other 3 collabs are great xx) Kind of bold to drop it only one week after a Taylor Swift album, I feel like her second week sales might still be enough to stop this going to #1 in the US.
October 22, 20222 yr Author Oh this could actually be good, Drake and 21 is usually a good combo. Yeah, Knife talk and Jimmy cooks for me were both the best tracks off of CLB and Honestly, nevermind, mostly because of 21's verses. 21 is a lyrical genius, i'm excited to see wher this goes
October 24, 20222 yr its so amusing how the big hit from his dance album was the hip-hop track with 21 Savage
October 27, 20222 yr So this has been delayed by a week. Ostensibly because the producer 40 has caught COVID and needs time to recover to finish working on it. But I have a feeling it might have a little something to do with Taylor's sales spooking Drake and him thinking he has a better shot at the US #1 going against her third week than her second lol.
October 27, 20222 yr "needs time to recover to finish working on this" doesn't make any sense, why would they keep working on something that is out tomorrow? sure they chicken cos either Taylor or Rihanna, the schedule must be clearer on Nov 4
October 27, 20222 yr its not uncommon for rap albums to be worked on right up until the release date. but more likely it is a cop out excuse for wanting to avoid the Taylor and Rihanna competition indeed.
October 27, 20222 yr To be fair though 40 does have multiple sclerosis so him getting COVID is a bigger deal than it would be for most people so my comment was being a bit flippant, but it's still convenient timing. Metro Boomin, who was set to release an album on 4th November, has also conveniently pushed his album back by a month citing sample clearance issues
November 4, 20222 yr People need to stop using Meg Thee Stallion for clout. Especially people who weren't even around when her situation happened. I feel so bad for her.
November 4, 20222 yr I won't listen to the album but pretty gross of him to accuse Megan Thee Stallion of lying about being shot in one of his songs :/. Megan is the purest soul and we need to uplift and believe black women more. Really disappointing on his part.
November 4, 20222 yr I must say considering Drake collabs with any rapper (beside Lil Nas X) and is from the same town as Tory Lanez. Its odd to defend him. Although as Megan seems to say herself. They don’t actually reference her directly as “A stallion” is slang. She writes.
November 4, 20222 yr Author If this album was just 21 Savage them it would be incredible but.. Drake's lyrics are random, under-thought and disgusting. I had high hopes as savage was on it
November 7, 20222 yr Listened to this once so I need more time with it, but it's certainly an improvement on his last few releases so there's that! His lyricism is still questionable in parts and the hooks aren't as strong as he is known for in his earlier days but it's progress towards a more listenable Drake so I am here for it :P
November 7, 20222 yr Author This is an improvment on drizzy's last few records mainly because of savage's feature on it. "Circo Loco" would be the best track if the unnecassary and cruel Megan diss wasn't on it
November 12, 20222 yr Author The album has debuted at #1 in the UK to become Drake's 5th Uk #1 album and 21 Savage's 1st.
November 14, 20222 yr Another average project. Not much replay value in my opinion. Overall I'd much rather listen to UK urban rap/hip hop and drill talent nowadays. They have far better lyricism, imagination and originality. As well as that, they aren't obscene culture vulture's like Drake is too.
November 15, 20222 yr Drake has positions 2-9 on Billboard this week, Taylor Swift of course blocking him from number one due to a convieniently timed remix package
November 15, 20222 yr Author I've never loved a drake album, but this is one of his best. Drake ranking (Worst To Best inc. mixtapes & Collab albums): Honestly Nevermind>Dark Lane Demo Tapes>Certified Lover Boy>Views>Thank Me Later>Scorpion>Nothing Was The Same>More Life>Room For Improvement>So Far Gone> Comeback Season>What A Time To Be Alive>Take Care> Her Loss > If Your reading This Its Too Late only the last 4 are ok, If Your reading this is great though
