Good that his first three hits have hung on in there at 8, 9 and 10 - they’re probably his best as well. Otherwise Secret Love Song and Trumpets are quite nice and don’t care for the other 5.

A pity that his earlier (and better) stuff is to the bottom end of this top 10. I do like Swalla though.

Want to Want Me is one of my favourites of his so I'm happy to see it 1st by a distant.

 

His Greatest Hits has racked up 301 weeks in the Top 200 albums chart! It usually achieves 1000+ sales every week, and I predict its total sales probably stand at 355,000 by now. Usually over 99% of its weekly sales is thanks to streaming, probably predictably.

I do enjoy a lot of his stuff, although I agree that his first era was probably his strongest. Having said that I have a particular soft spot for 'Trumpets' and 'Stupid Love', but my favourite thing he's ever done is 'Cheyenne' which flopped horribly :(

I barely remember 'Tip Toe' existing, lol at that being ahead of his first 3 hits (which remain basically his only good songs, though I am a fan of 'Secret Love Song' too but not for his contribution).

Would have been great to get a full 20 - interesting to see where 'Wiggle Wiggle', 'Don't Wanna Go Home', 'The Other Side' and 'Take You Dancing' were. Didn't think 'Secret Love Song' was anything like as big as 1.3 million tbh...

 

 

The Other Side absolutely deserves to be in his top 10! Those other three... less so.
