I do actually like the album , it has some really nice songs that are a little bit different.

I wish I was getting time to play it though ,

I like it too ^_^ but it's still not as good as Under The Radar. I put that back in my car CD player this week for the first time since HES was released and I prefer it. That album is  I can hear that HES is a natural successor to it.

I agree Laura. UTR was the best album for a long time with many hit singles. I think that his self doubt had stopped him to realese it. He wouldnot have needed the help of Ed Sheeran to drop names. He is great for himself and his generation But Robbie should stay to be Robbie

Does he have the overall say when it comes to what songs appear on his albums . I would think the record label would have big input

He has always done well in the album charts , the singles not so good , is it song choice or is he considered old hat these days

Well the success of LML has proved he can still have a hit single. Maybe not a number one anymore. I agree with Elisabeth. Knowing there is an Ed Sheeran co write on an album doesn't make one jot of difference to me.

I skip Pretty Woman anyway. I'm there to listen to Robbie's lyrics not Ed Sheeran's. :) More confidence is needed but that's RW he won't ever truly believe in himself. It's part of what makes him so gorgeous.

I guess using the likes of Ed Sheeran etc opens him up to people who would not necessarily listen to Robbies music & would just check the album out because of the Ed Sheeran or other artist connection, must like we do when Robbie is featured on another artist album

It's part of Robbie's make up not to be confident, he always worries that his work is not good enough . Foe one thing I think he can be one of the best lyricists out there when he puts his mind to it & you cannot have a song without lyrics

I like Robbie when he is serious about his work , sometimes he messes about too much when being interviewed & you never get to hear what is behind the lyrics of a song, he has got better in recent years mind you

Agree :)

I understand why he does it but he should have the confidence to treat his work seriously without worrying whether Critics will too. ^_^

Sometimes if we're lucky he'll do a serious interview but it is always somewhere other than in Britain. He never does a serious interview in the UK unfortunately.

Amazing ...

Some interesting stats & word a read B-)

Robbie Williams is one of the biggest music names ever to come from the UK. He has won more BRIT Awards than any other artist, and all but one of his studio albums have reached Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart.

Very impressive. B-)

It's such a shame that RKTVS broke his record. It was only by 1700 copies if I remember rightly too. -_-

I like RKTVS. I listened to it lately and I like it more than TTC and the HES, less than UTR.

Didn't he loose out against JLS? The group that does not exist anymore some years later, while he is still there?

JLS are no more Elisabeth, they are all doing their own thing these days , maybe a solo artist has a better chance of longevity . Robbie is very good at what he does & continually builds shows around himself & gives his fans what they want & knows how to entertain an audience . I do know that many what you would call casual Robbie fans went to see Robbie in Dublin this year & thoroughly enjoyed his concert. Robbie works hard at what he does, he is always writing songs , gets his albums out there & still charts very well which must be hard against all those younger folk . HES got to number 1 , he has his fanbase & hangs on to it & we all support him

He does work very hard at what he does. He works hard to make it look easy.

That's why it annoys me if people dismiss him as lucky.

If you don't like his music, his persona, fair enough. We all have different tastes - but don't say it's down to luck. Not after 27 years.
