But horrific tournament from Denmark, what on earth happened to them?

Denmark's disappointment is on par with some of the most puzzling in the history of the tournament. I actually thought they might win the group, going in. Not finish with 1 point and 1 goal.

If Group C holds the current standings (which I think is possible if Poland/Argentina draw and Mexico beats Saudi Arabia by less than four goals or Mexico/Saudi Arabia ends in a draw) then we get France/Argentina in the Round of 16!

There's a chance they could be beaten yet, but Denmark looking like flops of the tournament. Harry Souttar has been immense for Australia, so impressive considering he played one game after a year out before heading out to Qatar

True, but this time would have the added drama of France being defending champs and Messi's last hurrah!

Ooh I do love underdog success stories - Well done to Australia (helps that I have them and France in my family sweepstake *.*), big oops at Denmark though, they were European semi-finalists just last year!

 

I assume they were on autopilot due to already being through, but pretty poor from France to lose to Tunisia too oops x

Shocked at how poor Denmark have been but I guess they are past their peak!

Great to see Tunisia clinch the win, last minute drama in thata game as well! Just a shame they couldn't crack the Top 2.

Denmark have had such a surprisingly bad tournament. Amazing for Australia but I don't think they will get any further.
