My best results since the comeback woo. 13 years late on round 1 oops but got the year right on round 2. I was worrying after the first two rounds that the move to a more retro music focused station meant he had completely done away with any questions about anything post-2000 but there were finally a couple of such questions today, they definitely seem rarer than before though.

was possibly even more embarrassing than the miss I alluded to in the last post actually but it was only question 1 and I missed question 2 as well so little damage done -

I was confusing them with Europe which I knew was wrong but I couldn't think of the right name in time

. Funnily enough they popped up in PopMaster as well on the same day and I missed them there too, although that was a slightly harder question about them!

 

Now Ten To The Top seems to have adopted including a year question in every round as well I have double the chance for '1 year out', and indeed did that in round 1 here, was 1 year late.

 

Well done to the contestant in round 2 getting all the questions right (albeit not with a 65 due to the early joker) and sounding less like he was cheating than the previous such contestant to do so :kink:

A year early for the round 2 year question. Wow, dangerously close to getting 0 for the first time, my brain is really not working today :kink: And the one I did get (

) I only barely got in time so it would have been 0 if not for the contestant not knowing it. :lol:

 

Think I should have managed 27 in round 1, the first two bonus questions were both facepalm moments -

I confused Mariah's voice with Whitney's for some reason, and then the REO Speedwagon song I know from the Cigarettes After Sex cover that was in BJSC but I was stuck on just thinking the tune sounded familiar without making that connection

. And a couple more I should have got from round 2 as well,

I completely tanked out of the gate confusing Madness with UB40, and pretty sure there was a question about 'Lonely Boy' in one of these quizzes just the other day but I clearly didn't retain that information at all lol

. But didn't help that the last two bonuses were the only songs I knew from their respective artists :kink:

Frustration continuing here, just not my day - unfortunately spacing out my fumbles very evenly which ruins my scores in this format of course :drama: I got 60% of the questions right but only 13.8% of the possible score *_*

again there was another question about that Liza Minnelli song very recently but that didn't stick with me, and I guessed 6 weeks for the Frankie Goes To Hollywood song, I think I was thinking of 'Relax' although I'd still have been wrong anyway as that was only 5 lol

. And I reckon I should have got 3 of the 4 that I missed in round 2 -

I sad 'Pump Up The Jam' instead of 'Pump Up The Volume' in my biggest facepalm of the day, was 1 year early for Doop and then just completely mindblanked on Anita Ward

.

 

I was way off on the tiebreaker, I guessed 300 - did not have enough time to do the mental maths to come up with an even half accurate guess :lol:
