well done Jim on 39, hooray and well done Bre on a new GH best score 30 is pretty impressive!

I had a go at TTTT today and still didnt get a full house in either round, but I was minor pleased I got what sort of house Ed Sheeran sang about, considering I've never bought it and heard it about once I think. There was a very nice young man called Stephen on Ken's TV Popmaster episode 2 who almost won - he knew a lot of old stuff! I reckon he must have memorised half the entire Guinness Book of UK chart hits!

Round 1: 30 (oh no I got beaten! :o :lol: Didnt know

Wicked and said Think before I thought about Respect for Aretha

) How ironic!

Round 2: 39 (I do like me movie tracks)

3 in 10: 2 only! (

Mysterious Girl, Flava

)

Round 2: 12 (missed

Alison Krauss (-6), either Eddi Reader song (-3), Fun Boy Three (-6), 1977 (-3), Bobby Darin (-6), 'Anyone Can Fall In Love' (-3)

)

3 in 10: 3/3 (

'Flava', 'I Feel You', 'Mysterious Girl'

) - lol this being the artist I finally get 3/3 for again x

2 years early on round 1 and 1 year late on round 2. Shame neither contestant took the 21st century hits bonus, although getting 2/3 of the musicals bonuses was better than I expected. Should have got

Bobby Darin

from round 2 but didn't have a clue for the other two -

although I guessed Alison Moyet for the lolz on the first bonus which was technically half right lmao. Also got the Annie Lennox question just before it xx

Well done Jim and John for the 39s yesterday ^_^

Round 1: 27 (didn't get:

Round 2: 33 (didn't get:

The Partridge Family

)

Three-in-Ten: 3

(Can The Can, Devil Gate Drive, 48 Crash)

Predicted two of those

Jane

questions but we were robbed of a

Jane McDonald

one ;)

Well done on another 39 yesterday John

Round 1: 21 - didn't get

David Essex, R. Dean Taylor, the Temptations soloist, Jane Wiedlin (brain not on form)

Round 2: 33 - didn't get

The Partridge Family

Three In Ten: 3 -

Devil Gate Drive, Can The Can, Daytona Demon (will need to verify the last one... yep that's it)

Round 1 : 30 Didn't get

)

3 in 10: 1/3 (

'Can The Can'

) - I remembered the first 2 words of

'Devil Gate Drive'

but I don't think that's close enough to count, wouldn't have known a third anyway

7 years late on the second year. Otherwise pretty happy with that by my standards although a little annoyed at missing

Jane Wiedlin - I knew the last name started with a W but it didn't come to mind in time grr

.

Round 1: 36 (1 year out, I was "is it the year after...?" and indeed it was :lol: )

Round 2: 39

3 in 10: whacked off 5 no prob, she's still a legend :heart:

well done everyone on the 27's and 30's for what was a very 20th century-focussed bunch of questions! I tend to do sometimes poorly on the 21st century and there were very few of those

Round 1: 36 - didn't get

The Pointer Sisters

Round 2: 30 - didn't get

The Rah Band, Mud

Three In Ten: 3 -

Dignity, Real Gone Kid, Wages Day

WD John for another 39

Clannad, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, The RAH Band, The Pioneers

)

Three-in-Ten: 2

(Real Gone Kid, Four Bacharach & David Songs EP if that counts :lol:)

Thankfully retained some

early 90s TOTP repeats knowledge for the Dannii and Debbie questions!

alright getting back in to this

Round 1: 9 – missed

Dannii Minogue, Pointer Sisters, Debbie Gibson, 1969, R.E.M, Beverley Knight, Split Enz

My record of the week thread helped me get

Billy J Kramer and The Dakotas

3 in 10 : 3

Fergus Sings The Blues, Real Gone Kid, I'll Never Fall In Love Again

The last of those was the main track on an EP so I hope Ken would have accepted it

Ta for the congrats! And backatcha all with the good scores :)

Round 1: 33 (I couldnt recall

Debbie Gibson was in Grease!

) Looks like I was almost the only one :lol:

Round 2: 36 (one year out again doh!)

3 in 10: 2 in the time limit sadly, I was struggling with accurate titles -

I'll never fall in love again, Your swaying arms

and then couldnt get

Real Gone Kid

out in time, oops. Its a lot harder with bands who mostly just wash over you.... :D

Welcome back Dan! Snap scores with you today (and the exact same answers on round 1).

Round 1: 9 (missed

Dannii Minogue (-6), The Pointer Sisters (-3), Debbie Gibson (-6), 1969 (-3), R.E.M. (-3), Beverley Knight (-6), 'I Got You' (-3)

)

Round 2: 15 (missed

Clannad (-3), On Her Majesty's Secret Service (-6), The RAH Band (-3), 1999 (-3), Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas (-6), 'Let Your Yeah Be Yeah' (-3)

)

3 in 10: 0/3 - was trying and failing to remember the ones from the #1 album sessions but there'd only have been 2 of them anyway

6 years late for the first year and 1 year early for the second. Pretty bad bonus rounds for me although I managed to guess the last one because

I thought it sounded like 'Lonely This Christmas'

.

Thanks to BJSC for the

Colonel Abrams song title, as a dance remake of it was sent there a while back

! From the rest I think I should have got

R.E.M. and Clannad

but otherwise just a lot of knowledge gaps here.

Round 1: 24 - didn't get the first 2 bonuses or

the Scott Fitzgerald duet

Round 2: 33 - didn't get

Bucks Fizz, Badfinger

Three in ten: 3 -

Driving Home For Christmas, The Road To Hell (Part 2), Fool If You Think It's Over

  • Author

Round 1: 18 (didn't get:

The Pretenders, Marilyn McCoo, Maureen McGovern, Scott FitzGerald/Yvonne Keeley, Rod Stewart

)

Round 2: 30 (didn't get:

Bucks Fizz, Badfinger, 1970

)

Three-in-Ten: 3

(Driving Home For Christmas, The Road to Hell, Auberge)

In a reversal of fortune to Jade and Jim I did better in the first round (39) and less well in Round 2 (33 -

Nine Inch Nails

swear Ive never heard it in my life - even though I obv have - and I got one word wrong in the

HearSay title, not "Heart" but "Love"

). Always the 21st century questions that get me :lol:

3 in 10:

Road To Hell, Auberge, Texas

Well done getting 39, John, in what I thought was a tough first round.

Round 1 : 21 Didn't get

Marilyn McCoo, Gordon Haskell, Maureen McGovern, Rod Stewart

Round 2 : 24 Didn't get

Badfinger, Hearsay, Nine Inch Nails, the year

3 in 10 : 3

The Road To Hell Part 2, Auberge, Tell Me There's A Heaven

Round 1: 15 (missed

Pretenders (-3), Marilyn McCoo (-6), 1981 (-3), Maureen McGovern (-6), 'If I Had Words' (-3), 'Tom Traubert's Blues' (-3)

)

Round 2: 18 (missed

Bucks Fizz (-3), Let Loose (-6), Badfinger (-3), The Sweet (-6), Fun Boy Three (-3)

)

3 in 10: 3/3 (

'Driving Home For Christmas', 'Auberge', 'On The Beach'

) - I only recently discovered this artist did the original version of the latter song so that was handy

3 years early for the first year. Happy I managed to guess

Nine Inch Nails

as I don't think I've ever actually heard that song but I recognised the titular lyric.

Round 1: 33 - didn't get the last bonus question

Round 2: 36 - didn't get

Prelude

Three in ten: 3 -

See Ya, I Want Your Love, Right Now
