58 we have Lilith Czar with 'Anarchy' a stomping rock tune and M-22 teamed up with Ella Henderson to release 'Heartstrings' which sadly didn't impact at all. I really love the strings element on the track and Ella's vocals are solid too.

Bidi-bam-bam-bam-bam at 56 for Camila and Ed and my Pop Forum Contest entry from May, '20's from Bow Anderson' is 54. The lyrics are apt for a lot of us who are in our 20's to be honest :kink: well I guess not for me now as turned 30 half way through 2022 lol.

BIG DROP... IT'S THE BJSC WINNA.. 'FUNDAAAA' not gonna lie this is as high as it is boosted from the win in the contest whereas normally it'd be about the 70's or something. A fun pop bop tune anyhow and was the first song I took to from Madison Rose (soz Cody and uhsting xx). Pink Never Wants To Not Dance Again at 53. A cheery breezy pop song and Pink only does what does best when it comes to that department. I'd say this is my favourite of any of her releases since 'Beautiful Trauma' in 2017!

Japanese popstar Rina Sawayama is back with a track of her own now after appearing with Charli XCX already. 'This Hell' is a catchy pop track and I've not really taken the time to check out much of her music but this was a fab first track of hers to hear. Just missing the top 50 we have the 4th highest song from Midnights to show up in my EOY and it's 'Snow On The Beach' which features Lana Del Ray. This song feels a bit christmassy tbh even though it's got Snow evidently in the song title

Paolo Nutini is back and at 50 with 'Shine A Light' another great song off his album. At 49 we have the 3rd Eurovision to crop up and it's 'SloMo' by Chanel who finished in 3rd in the contest behind Ukraine and UK. To the shock of nobody this was actually offered to J-Lo originally but now for the shock of everybody she turned it down. Its such a sexy jam anyway.

Noa Kirel is an Israeli born singer who has been selected to represent Israel at the 2023 Eurovision. 'Thought About That' a catchy pop number was sent to BJSC earlier in the year and did very well indeed. It places in this countdown at number 48. There were some really rubbishy generic dance songs this year but 'Ferrari' wasn't one of them and has quite some charm to it for me. It's a low key banger tbh and comes in 47th!

Okay now for a song that was quite heavily blasted on the forum which on one hand I totally do see why it did because some found it very dull and dreary and whilst I can't disagree that it didn't show it that on the surface it actually showed me there was much more to it with the feeling and emotion. The video certainly helped play a part in it as well as it was a well produced one to fit the theme of the track. The piano intro moves me a fair bit too. A stunning track in all honesty but again I understand why for some it plodding on and not appealing to others vocally did slate it too. I'm on the positive side with this one though.

It seems there's a theme of slower and gripping songs in this pairing as Tate McRae's 'Feel Like Shit' is 45 and plays on the intensity feeling for me too in a good way. I also like the video to this one a lot as well. Shame it didn't make the top 40 but then I can see why it didn't either as it was just after Christmas and wasn't boosted enough.

The 3rd of my BJSC entries is at 44 coming from Ramses B and Veela with 'One Day'. It placed 40th in January and did end up not getting enough love and more love than I would have wanted for it too as it's wondrous imo. It is from 2020 so it counts itself lucky like a lot of other songs that are accepted in under my rules as again typically I don't allow songs that aren't the present one or the one from the year before (and that's just cause of hits carrying over into the next).

Elvis Presley is not a name you'd expect to see pop up in any form of chart of mine as I'm not a fan but PNAU was at it again reworking 'Suspicious Minds' and something else I think as the lyrics were don't fly away beautiful bird which if I'm not mistaken aren't in SM lyrics  this is another brill one for emotional build up strings through the song which I think is why I like it so much tbh because without it I'm not sure I'd give it another look in!

Gorgeous George and Tiger Lily could be anyone anyone anyone for you.. it was George's comeback single and was a relatively big top 15 hit. Unfortunately for him this got upstaged by the songs for 5 year old kids follow up which is just lame for me and even as a fan generally of George's really shouldn't have got a higher peak than 'Anyone For You'. We're on the cusp of the top 40 and falling at 41 is Taylor Swift (51 and 41 oop) with 'You're On Your Own Kid' which is fantastic and should've swapped for one of LH or SOTB a bit sooner than it has today (where it finally appears in the mids at 69).

We arrive at the top 40 and we'll do one double song post tbh and at 40 we have 5 piece alt-rock Norwegian band Jadudah with 'Love You When You're A Mess'. A song actually released in 2015 :kink: I forgot until I went to the videos to post but since it was sent this year I'll allow as my charts compiled and over half way through now. A grand rock entry anyway which came top 20 for FSR Rontvia a year ago!

'Maroon' earns Taylor her highest album track from Midnights in my EOY. Such a fab song and a definite highlight obviously for me.

or maybe I'll keep posting doubles until I get to the top 30 x

38 is VENUS a girl group who were sent in the summer to BJSC and awarded Zamnatony his biggest hit to date and rightfully so. A bop. A real raw one next in 'How Do I Say Goodbye' from Dean Lewis. I suppose it's quite a relate able song for some and worked well with it's late in the year release!

Next we have a potential of mine in BJSC Sorn with 'Sharp Objects' quite a catchy pop tune and at 35 it's Cassyette with her highest of three songs in this with 'Sad Girl Summer'. She's been pretty hot all year with releases despite not breaking through in the charts and reminds me very much of early Pink which is certainly a big positive. It's easily my preferred song of what she's put out for sure. What a killer bop.

Ed '2 Steps' his way to 34th whilst Beyoncé returned with a change of direction for 'BREAK MY SOUL' a mega filtrated dance banger with a wild man going bonkers in the background.

A massive BJSC 2nd placer at 32 in Holy Molly with 'Shot A Friend' which is very generic but oh such a bop and a song that initially looked to flop until TikTok rescued it fairly fast is 'About Damn Time' from American star Lizzo. It's pretty neat to see disco pop return to the chart in some fashion. She does have one more song to come however!
