January 4, 20232 yr Author 30 WAifgn2Cvo8 It was a big year dribbling into two consecutive years for 'Seventeen Going Under' by Sam Fender. A great track and isn't one I've got bored of in the slightest!
January 4, 20232 yr Author 29 LL-z0yqCA3s It's the proper version of 'miss you' that appears here for me in the form of the southstar one before Robber Schulz got his mits on it. The original is super fast and that's what I love about it. Such a eccentric rave, if only the public took to this one in the chart instead :music:
January 4, 20232 yr Author 28 oJpBPv3Jk04 PPJ are back and very high up this time after their last appearance the opposite end of my EOY with 'Dar Um' which is extremely catchy :music: would have made for a fab winner too as it came so close!
January 4, 20232 yr Author 27 krdQLzzAeZU Sassy pop tune from Lizzo '2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)' next at 27. Should have made the top 10 I think but still it was a decent sized hit anyhow. It's funny cause I wasn't really all into her stuff but these two songs are great!
January 4, 20232 yr Author 26 tp4fUH2E8uc A low top 40 for Shawn Mendes was 'When You're Gone' but it really should have been a bigger hit personally.
January 4, 20232 yr Author 25 fo4TRnk9wCA Not one that would be allowed really but as per the rules it does allow 2017 entry of mine post punk band Principe Valiente with 'Strangers In The Night' to manage top 30 in my EOY for 2022 at 25. It's got a distinctive sound very similar to the obvious David Bowie and also has hints of Joy Division to it as well!
January 4, 20232 yr Author 24 ijS_orLb6VU Maybe the public had a problem with not helping this become a hit for Ava. Massively catchy and a great video to boot. What's not to love?
January 4, 20232 yr Author 23 MlsRFcs1Bzc Well Conor will be pleased to see this x Dylan pops up with her first song since the start of my countdown with 'Girl Of Your Dreams' at 23. Two more still to come but I do need to add that this suffered in BJSC after being sent not long after another song of hers did very well a month or two previous which resulted with GOYD ending up in the bottom 10 territory but I enjoy it muchly.
January 4, 20232 yr Author 22 aD4fMjUTpPI 34 year old Swedish singer and DJ Cazzi Opeia was sent by me to BJSC in August and ended up mid 20's which was a bit of a comedown from her prior success in those contests. 'You're My Sunshine' is just that, a ray of sunshine which fell on deaf ears somewhat!
January 4, 20232 yr Author 21 ipjVkIyFCXU and before we get to the top 20 we have my Club Bizarre madness which came 2nd *.* it is such an awesome underground rave anthem!

Not sure what happened really. 161. Yeah sorry. I tried to like it more and I did after a couple of listens but it didn't stick with me unforch but I don't dislike it or anything either so there's something! 136. It is nice to see her releasing great songs after all this time. 132. It's great yeah. 108. Oh I know. This and MYTP deserved to smash as does her new one. 105. It seems it either took time to grow for a lot of people or they didn't like it at all. It took me a few listens to properly enjoy but it went off a bit with it hanging around in the chart for ages.

I wouldn't count her out releasing more music but perhaps not any to make the top 40 unless she collabs with someone like Ed or Dua or something! 84. Yeah I liked it a lot more than others clearly do here. It's generic but a good one. 67. Good to know the ACR dodging didn't put you off at all ;) 33. I don't know what you mean by sundered? :P It's done a good job for her as in bagging two top 5 hits again. 26. I think it's up with his best too but I liked a lot of his singles from 2015-2017 too. 24. Really? Ava hadn't made the top 10 since 2019 so I'd have been surprised if it did a 'Physical' and reached as high as #2 but it deserved to be a hit for sure. I looked at the video and song last night whilst posting and it's a shame it didn't do anything. I think it's the stigma of the public not really taking to Ava as she's had help from a few sources to even get a handful of top 20's really. It's a fun romp bop though I agree. Thanks dude!
January 6, 20232 yr Just finished catching up on your thread. Some Nights is so underappreciated. Love to hear this during every badminton match on TV. What About Us was also fab. Gutted I don't see any hype here after joining Buzzjack. :( It's interesting that rest of the world recognized Alan Walker for "Faded". Here, we recognize him for "On My Way" and "Lily" more. "Lean On" is something that I used to enjoy it a lot, but now I don't. I loved both "Wake Me Up" and "Rather Be". Timeless classics! Here are my picks: 195. Galantis Ft Becky Hill - Run 193. Tom Grennan - All These Nights 181. Aamouraocean - Parmi Les Mortals 179. Grum - Look To The Light 177. Driftmoon - Nova Imperatrix 129. Against The Current - Wildfire 126. Faouzia - RIP Love (the remix will be featured on my EOY too. ^_^ ) 119. RAYE Ft 070 Shake - Escapism (quite late enjoying this, but it's better than never) 118. Charlie Puth - Light Switch 115. Yeah I'm on the few fans club here. Tbh if it didn't have quite as much feeling mixed in (Glimpse Of Us I'm meaning) then I'd be like the others are with it!
January 6, 20232 yr Author 20 qpInvPtNz3s Let's get on a bit of the top 20 now then and at #20 we have Dylan singing a song about someone not quite matching up to 'Harry Styles' it is a fun bop for me though and I did have it considered for BJSC 141 but opted for Veela instead.
January 6, 20232 yr Author 19 0vqMfIzpCYE and onto a song that was sent by me earlier in the year from Swedish star Namasenda with 'No Regrets'. This wasn't actually the first time I considered sending the track as I had it confirmed in late 2021 until I changed it. A cool little tune though and I like the video although the shooting is a bit mixed as that's always a controversial theme nowadays.
