December 12, 20223 yr Is the Dolly Parton album at #32 the first this year to enter the album chart in the #11-40 region and stay in the Top 40 the following week (when it climbed 40-39)? I know the Bocellis and Aled & Russell albums also entered in that region, but both fell out of the Top 40 in week 2 before climbing back in.

No, off the top of my head I can think of the Asake and K-Trap albums. There's probably more too. It's potentially the only one that climbed in it's 2nd week though. Asake went #22-#29 K-Trap went #12-#39
December 13, 20223 yr ^ Thanks, yes it could be the only one that's climbed in week 2 - going by this thread from Jay, nothing that entered in the Top 10 has done that. On a separate note, I think this week last year was the first where songs which went to ACR ended up getting a reset in January - so I guess that could apply to those which have just gone this week, although Warm is the only one I could see maybe getting a new peak out of it.
December 13, 20223 yr I remember Dolly Parton’s studio album Run Rose Run very nearly stayed Top 40 in its second week at the start of the year after entering at #23. I’m sure it was something like #27 on the Monday update and I remember commenting how unusual it was for an album to enter at that area of the chart and have such a small second week fall, especially for a predominantly physically bought album. It ended up #43 by the end of the week.
