A viral hit for Lizzo, and although commercially it was her big one of the year, i was eclipsed by the infinitely better 2 Be Loved on my charts!

Title track and one of 4 top 10s from the album, Humble Quest is a lovely song from Maren's album, though quite forgettable.

The 2nd single from Hold The Girl, it had a short run due to 2x album bombs from Mabel & Sabrina Carpenter, in the same week. It did eventually reach a new peak when the album came out.

The #2 song of 2021 still in this years EOY, it had quite the resurgance over the summer when I left my old school and started a new one for sixth form, and in so cutting toxic people off, the song definitely soundtracked that! Still one of the greatest songs of All TIME!

2021 EOY #2

'Happier Than Ever', 'Santa Tell Me', 'I Drink Wine' & 'About Damn Time' are good picks from the last posts of songs here. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of Adele's album. Too many dreary ballads for my liking which is a shame as I'm a big fan but 'I Drink Wine' at least is fine. 'About Damn Time' is still to come in mine as is 'You're On Your Own Kid'. Shame you weren't big on that as it's one of the highlights for me!

 

Gave that Rina song a few spins on Spotify but couldn't really get into it as much as 'This Hell'!

The bigger of Calvin's 2 big singles from the flop era of Funk Wav bounces vol.2, both offically and on my chart. Its still a catchy song, but had Potion been Young Thug-less, It definitely would've been much better. He completely ruined it for me. Stay With Me is a bop though!

Originally a GAYLE solo song titled 'z' it was re-released with guest features from UPSAHL and Blu DeTiger as an album track off of 'a study of the human experience vol.1'. A catchy enough song, but abcdefu and especially GAYLE's #1 hit ur just horny from it were much better! I also think i prefer the solo version tbh

One of the biggest hits from last year, though surprisingly at first I completely hated it! And now its one of my favourite songs! I did bore of it a bit, but over summer it grew on me massively almost making the top 10 again!

Mariah may have been denied a hit in my chart when her remix of Latto's Big Energy took off as I much prefered the original Latto solo version which was the one to chart and do big things, but that hasn't stopped her sneaking in, My chart has only been around for 1.5 years, and in that time Mariah has become the longest running christmas song, spending 13 weeks on chart over 2 christmases! For 2 years running, it has been the first christmas song to chart, and although it stalled and missed the top 15 this year, it still made it 7 weeks on chart in 2022, and made the EOY too!

GAYLE's big one globally, it was hindered by peaking for me during christmas where it made the top 3. It did have a decent run in 2022, though its definitely not her biggest one, thats to come!

One of four deluxe tracks released just one week after CRASH first came out, It outperformed almost every other charting song from the album, though What You Think About Me did end up being the bigger of the 2 deluxe tracks that charted. It did hang around the top 20 for a while though!
