hi Conor, my faves from your top 200 so far:

#195: I Wish - Joel Corry feat. Mabel – I do feel like they could've done a lot better but this was fairly decent

#192: Calm Down - Rema & Selena Gomez – certainly is a bop, it does more for me than most of the afrobeats hits we get and Selena is surprisingly a great addition to it

#182: Hypnotized - Sophie Ellis-Bextor & Wuh-Oh – sounded quite catchy although her mispronunciation of the song title did put me off a little Lol

A lot of these I haven't heard myself :kink: but Taylor saving the day with those great songs in 'champagne problems' & 'Snow On The Beach'. The latter sounds better with it being Christmas time but I'm not actually a Lana fan in the slightest so I dubious about hearing this  only to find out she's barely features anyway. It's a decent song.

The Charli one is great too albeit I've only heard it once or twice but kinda forgotten it due to it not doing anything for her.

taylor slays  haha your right she barely does backing vocals lol! shame your not a fan of lana though!

yeah charlis one is nice but its defo not the best from crash

thanks rob!

Hey Dan!

Yeah I Wish could've been even better, bot for what it was it was a great catchy one!

I agree, calm down is the best of the recent afrobeats songs weve had recently and yep selena is a great addition!

Haha yeah it threw me off too lol

thanks for commenting!

Conor's End Of Year Chart:

#170: Innocence & Sadness - Dermot Kennedy | 125 Points

One of only 3 Dermot Kennedy songs in the top 200, he was very much hindered by the album push backs. It didn't come out till mid November. Had it dropped like planned in September he would for sure have more songs up here. This was a promotional single from Sonder which made the top 10 and is a lovely track!

Mabel's 3rd appearance so far, this is one of the album tracks from her big 2nd studio album About Last Night... .

#168: Frankenstein - Rina Sawayama | 127 Points

An album track from Hold The Girl, Frankenstein was given the single treatment to coencide with a strictly halloween week performance... and then she performed This Hell smh. I had re-added it to my playlist to coencide with the performance, and then it didnt happen so its chart run wasn't extended lol. Still its a bop and sits comfortably among the top 200, not bad for an artist I hadn't even heard of a year ago!

#167: Tall Guys - Maren Morris | 128 Points

This fun bop from Maren's 2022 album Humble Quest made the top 10 for a week, but it fell quite quickly afterwards. Luckily she had a few other more stable hits.

#166: How Do I Make You Love Me? - The Weeknd | 128 Points

An album track off of Dawn FM, this was the biggest of them reaching the top 10. Listening back, though, it deserved better because its such a bop, and I wish I gave it more of a chance :kink:

#165: So Much Wine - Phoebe Bridgers | 129 Points

This years christmas #1 was quite unexpected, this debuted at #28, it then dropped to #41 before looking like it was going to drop out of the chart, but then the unexpected happened, it clicked with me and became the christmas #1! Though being classed as a 'christmas song' I personally don't class it as such, its heartbreakingly beautiful and such a gorgeous song!

#164: boyfriend - Dove Cameron | 130 Points

Dove Cameron's breakout single came with this. the song celebrates LGBTQ+, specifically WLW relationships, was very popular. FOr me, it had a strange run, i would enjoy it, then i would go off it, id enjoy it again and go off it again. It caused the song to have quite a yo-yo of a chart run as you'll see!

#163: Dandelions - Ruth B. | 131 Points

This one went viral on tiktok and was huge. I did like it, but nowhere near as much as the uk did! Still, its much much better than her popular debut Lost Boy :kink: and it made my top 20 for a week!

#162: My Heart Goes (La Di Da) - Becky Hill feat. Topic | 131 Points

Becky's 2021 #1 single makes the EOY for a 2nd year running, at #162 though, compared to its #9 last year lol! It mainly made up its points from its re-entry one year after its original release!

Conor's End Of Year Chart:

#161: Celebrity Skin - Doja Cat | 132 Points

to be perfectly honest i'd completely forgotten about this :kink: its a decent cover from doja cat for some american advert and her only song in the EOY! Hopefully next year is more like 2021 in terms of Doja releases and great songs from her cos tbh this year hasn't been her best.

Chart Run: 14-15-24-26-39

'Dandelions' was nice and could have done with making top 40 for a week considering how much it was lingering outside same with Elley as well.

Frankenstein  I wish Rina had used her Strictly slot to perform that, imagine how much of a moment it would've been :cheeseblock:

So Much Wine is a gorgeous song, I always love Phoebe's Christmas covers. If We Make It Through December is a really nice one she released a few years ago that I'd recommend in case you haven't heard it!

I never charted Boyfriend but I love the Bond theme vibes of it, definitely an exciting song to see blow up so big.

From your #200-161 section.

#197: Mastermind - Taylor Swift One of my ga ourotes from the album even though it's not went as high as any of the other tracks. It's very underappreciated tbh but see the line where she talks about everything being planned, it's kinda stalkerish: my favourite line from the song though!

#195: I Wish - Joel Corry feat. Mabel

#194: Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd? - Lana Del Rey

#192: Calm Down - Rema & Selena Gomez

#188: Hurricanes - Rina Sawayama

#182: Hypnotized - Sophie Ellis-Bextor & Wuh Oh Lovely tomsee this here and actually the first chart I've seen with this on their EOY. it's amazing and it felt like such a moment for her. A true Shane then that it never charted but then that was always obviously gonna happen!

#178: Snow On The Beach - Taylor Swift feat. Lana Del Rey

Nice selection so far! ^_^

yes it would have been iconic! quite a strange choice to perform this hell but it is what it is lol

I'm glad you like so much wine, i've seen the christmas ep but never checked it out in full so i'll do that! and yes, i totally get the bond vibes!

thanks for your comment! :)
