February 11, 20232 yr The Harry album is solid but really not as incredible as all the plaudits it's been handed over the last few weeks. Fine Line was easily better for me. It's a real shame the nominations and winners of these awards are always so bland. I enjoyed the Wet Leg, Cat Burns and Sam/Kim performances though.
February 11, 20232 yr I enjoyed Sam on that, I'm not a fan of I'm Good but his vocal and guitar improved it a lot for me. Becky and Ella sounding good too, fun closer.

February 11, 20232 yr I know we can moan about awards being given to those who show up but I swear Beyoncé always gets the award shes nominated for and yet has never turned up. It does make it a bit underwhelming especially when you had Lizzo there who was deserving and even had performed! Won’t go down as one of my favourite Brits, slightly disappointed that there was no real surprise performances (although Sam popping up at the end was amazing, and a better version of the actual song!). Good to see Becky get a second win as it’s one of the rare occasions where you can actually see how much it means to her.

Tbf I think 'BREAK MY SOUL' deserved its award, but it would have been nice to see Lizzo win something.
February 11, 20232 yr Glad for Becky. Unsurprising to see Harry win the main ones though a bit of diversity would've been nice in the winners. I do not get the appeal of wet leg at all oop. the performances were good though! overall a decent brits but forgettable. not really any stand outs. Becky & Ella were amazing though!

February 12, 20232 yr Lizzo deserved an award! This. I definitely feel like About Damn Time had more of an impact (TikTok, chart longevity) last year than Break My Soul.
February 12, 20232 yr The ceremony was ok, but too much wins for harry styles. They should put a limit on 3 nominations. Also, still confused that Burna Boy got nominated over (The Weeknd). Still Burna did deserve a nom! Great for Beyonce doing the double, highly deserved! Honestly would've thought Fred Again would win Producer Of The Year.
February 12, 20232 yr I don’t get the appeal of Wet Leg they seem like a band the critics want to push instead of the fans making them famous. Best New Artist is all well and good but I don’t see them being more successful than Rina or Mimi Webb long-term. She wants to be like Adele who didn’t win that either so you go girl. February 12, 20232 yr Author Did you not see Wet Leg’s opening sales last year? They already do have a massive fanbase. As much as I like her, I’ll be very surprised if Rina ever hits the heights of Wet Leg. Same for Mimi Webb really, I imagine she’ll be forgotten in a couple of years’ time.
