December 16, 20223 yr there's hope there is a little miracle and Raye gets the #1 cannot think of anything more boring than Last Xmas climbing to #1 again
December 16, 20223 yr there's hope there is a little miracle and Raye gets the #1 cannot think of anything more boring than Last Xmas climbing to #1 again Mariah Carey remaining at #1 would objectively be a more boring outcome regardless of which of the two Xmas songs you prefer I'd say. At least if Wham! manage it is a change of hands at the top. Would be a welcome surprise if Raye can get #1 but it seems rather unlikely again.
December 16, 20223 yr yes rooting for Raye was travelling last week and Mariah is everywhere, heard it like 25 days a day, you are in the hotel lobby and boom Mariah on the soeakers, you take the elevator and Mariah is playing, you go to the bar, breakfast, Mariah everywhere
December 16, 20223 yr I had money on Wham for Xmas #1 but looks like they're gonna do it a week too soon.
December 16, 20223 yr There was a time I liked all these same Christmas songs in the charts but now.. it's so tedious. Playlists need to shuffle other ones around and ones that don't do as well further up instead. If only RAYE would be #1 today but I don't see it as a possibility sadly.
December 16, 20223 yr I'll only be listening for SZA/Raye.....what else is there to find exciting in this chart lmao. Can't wait to be called a spoilsport and have the piss taken out of me again just because I don't want a 25+ year old song at #1 😍

December 16, 20223 yr Author 40 | 25 | 6th week Drake and 21 Savage Rich Flex 1st single from Her Loss Released: 4th November 2022 Label: OVO Sound Chart Statistics NE (17/11/2022) | 3-6-7-10-25-40 Sales: 100k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 76 Sales 03 Audio Streaming 53 Video Streaming Video I4DjHHVHWAE Biography Drake A couple of years after he broke into the mainstream with 2009’s So Far Gone, Drake was browsing art in Los Angeles when a piece caught his eye: a big neon sign that read, “LESS DRAKE, MORE TUPAC.” For a minute, he felt angry, embarrassed—he wanted to walk up and rip the sign off the wall. Instead, he bought it. After all, he figured, you get someone hanging your name next to Tupac’s, even if it’s only to take a shot at it? You must be doing something right. Born Aubrey Drake Graham in Toronto in 1986, Drake became—like Tupac—something of a generational voice, a prism for his pop-cultural moment. Was he an R&B singer who rapped or a rapper who sang? Was he really that sad, or just doing a bit? And if it wasn’t a bit, how could this guy—talented, intuitive, hardworking—really be so down? From minute one, there was something a little different about him: He could be confessional, vulnerable, but also incredibly coarse; he could make an earnest commitment one minute (“Take Care”) and be drunk-dialing the next (“Marvins Room”); he could convince you he was an underdog from his perch on top of the world (“Started from the Bottom”). Critics—and he’s had plenty—like to point out that he started as an actor: He played Jimmy Brooks in the Canadian teen show Degrassi: The Next Generation. But most of all, he felt like a person—someone who isn’t canceled by his paradoxes, but defined by them. Though the feelings remain (always feelings, big feelings), the sound—for the most part, courtesy of longtime affiliate Noah “40” Shebib—is always changing: a little dancehall here (“One Dance”), a little house there (“Passionfruit”), some old New Orleans bounce (“Nice for What”), a bit of Wu-style boom-bap (“Started from the Bottom”), some smooth, to-the-minute trap-soul (“Hotline Bling”). Like Kanye, Drake is as much a curator as he is a creator, an artist capable of arranging collaborators from a universe of styles and making them all fit into his personal vision—an approach that has made him one of the most definitive rappers and pop figures of his era. “I obviously spend a lot of time in my own world,” he told Beats 1 host Zane Lowe in 2016. “But when I do take a look at the broader scope of things, it’s often [in the studio]… Even though I don’t directly, literally address things in my music, I’ve always tried to make music that transcends gender, nationality—to try and unify people. Because that’s really what it’s about.” - Apple Music 21 Savage Whispering betrays an intimacy—a shared acknowledgement of something sacred. And 21 Savage, rap’s ASMR wordsmith, uses the technique to intimidate and taunt, to threaten and destroy. Violence was quite literally Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph’s introduction to rap: He started after his best friend was killed (and he himself sustained gunshot wounds) in a shootout on Joseph’s 21st birthday. This is music born in the streets, desensitized to tragedy because any other coping mechanism would result in unending heartbreak. His breakthrough, 2016’s Savage Mode, produced entirely by Metro Boomin, showcases the rapper’s deadpan delivery and ambivalence toward the stories he tells. With the EP, 21 emerged as one of rap’s great stylists, with his flow and Metro’s minimal beats giving the album an almost ambient feel. When 21 took his signature sardonic style to its logical extreme on Metro Boomin’s “Don’t Come Out the House,” he betrayed a playful willingness to engage with our image of him. With 2018’s I Am > I Was, though, 21 proved he was more than a single, captivating style. The album boasts a diversity of ideas, homing in on post-trap and club anthems and heightening the impact of his signature snarl, which grows in menace as it’s used less frequently. He used to shroud his apathy entirely in hushed sneers, but now, when 21 Savage lulls us with a whisper, the quiet is deafening. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Drake 2009 42 Forever (feat. A classic songwriter - awarded a prestigious Ivor Novello for Songwriter of the Year in 2014 – relied on his passion more than ever when it came to crafting his new pop-leaning, emotionally-healing fourth album. The whirlwind around his debut had kickstarted a work ethic that became an obsession that culminated in crippling anxiety, leading to a dark period of mental health that stalked most of Odell’s 2018 and 19. Odell wrote his way through it, eventually letting down his guard and pouring out his feelings. These broader lyrical horizons needed to be matched by a musical expansion, with a lot of the songs on the new album leaning into a more DIY, electronic, bedroom pop sound. The love of this new direction chimed with the pandemic's arrival and songs were crafted in a more threadbare way around instruments he had at hand, like Moog synths. It was a move underpinned by both necessity and a desire to explore. Four albums into his career and Odell has made a record that feels free of expectation and of other people's perceptions of who he is as an artist. While darkness was the inspiration, this multi-layered, genre-bending pop album is full of light and hope, even in the strangest of times. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History 2012 10 Another Love -3- MILLIONAIRE 2013 67 Can't Pretend -1- 2013 44 Hold Me -2- 2013 46 Grow Old With Me -4- 2013 92 I Know -5- 2014 07 Real Love -NAS- 2016 40 Magnetised -1- 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 2 x Top 10 | 2 x Top 20 | 3 x Top 40 | 7 x Top 100 Social Media Tom Odell http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png

They rose to prominence during the glam rock era in the early 1970s, achieving 17 consecutive top 20 hits and six number ones on the UK Singles Chart. The British Hit Singles & Albums names them the most successful British group of the 1970s based on sales of singles. They were the first act to have three singles enter the charts at number one; all six of the band's chart-toppers were penned by Noddy Holder and Jim Lea. As of 2006, total UK sales stand at 6,520,171, and their best-selling single, "Merry Xmas Everybody", has sold in excess of one million copies. According to the 1999 BBC documentary It's Slade, the band have sold over 50 million records worldwide. Following an unsuccessful move to the U.S. in 1975, Slade's popularity in the UK waned, but was unexpectedly revived in 1980 when they were last-minute replacements for Ozzy Osbourne at the Reading Rock Festival. The band later acknowledged this to have been one of the highlights of their career. The original line-up split in 1992, but reformed later in the year as Slade II. The band have continued, with a number of line-up changes, to the present day. They have also shortened the group name back to Slade. A number of artists from diverse genres have cited Slade as an influence, including Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Undertones, The Runaways, The Clash, Kiss, Mötley Crüe, Poison, Def Leppard, Twisted Sister, The Replacements, Cheap Trick, Oasis, Quiet Riot (who covered Slade songs for two of their three biggest hits) and Britny Fox. The Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Music tells of Holder's powerful vocals, guitarist Dave Hill's equally arresting dress sense, and the deliberate misspelling of their song titles (such as "Cum On Feel the Noize" and "Mama Weer All Crazee Now") for which they became well known. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History 1971 16 Get Down And Get With It -1- 1971 01 Coz I Luv You -2- 1972 04 Look Wot You Dun -3- 1972 01 Take Me Back 'Ome -NAS- 1972 01 Mama Weer All Crazee Now -1- 1972 02 Gudbuy T'Jane -2- 1973 01 Cum On Feel The Noize -1- 1973 01 Skweeze Me Pleeze Me -2- 1973 02 My Friend Stan -1- 1973 01 Merry Xmas Everybody -NAS- MILLION SELLER 1974 03 Everyday -2- 1974 03 The Bangin' Man -1- 1974 02 Far Far Away -2- 1975 15 How Does It Feel? -3- 1975 07 Thanks For The Memory (Wham Bam Thank You Mam) -4- 1975 11 In For A Penny -1- 1976 11 Let's Call It Quits -2- 1977 48 Gypsy Road Hog -1- 1977 32 My Baby Left Me -NAS- 1980 44 Slade Alive At Reading '80 -EP- 1981 10 We'll Bring The House Down -1- 1981 60 Wheels Ain't Coming Down -2- 1981 29 Lock Up Your Daughters -1- 1982 51 Ruby Red -2- 1982 50 (And Now The Waltz) C'est La Vie -1- 1983 02 My Oh My -2- 1984 07 Run Runaway -3- 1984 15 All Join Hands -1- 1985 60 The Seven Year Itch -2- 1985 50 Mysterious Mizster Jones -3- 1985 54 Do You Believe In Miracles -1- 1987 73 Still The Same -1- 1987 95 That's What Friends Are For -2- 1987 94 You Boyz Make Big Noize -3- 1991 21 Radio Wall Of Sound -1- 1998 30 Merry Xmas Everybody '98 Remix (Slade vs. Flush) -NAS- 6 x #1 | 13 x Top 5 | 16 x Top 10 | 21 x Top 20 | 25 x Top 40 | 36 x Top 100 Social Media Slade http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png
