Yeah agreed, I forgot about the lockdown party. "How To Be Lonely" was truly an awful choice of a comeback single tol.

It's such a shame as I loved "Big" and "Bang Bang" so much :(.

I'm of course buzzing for this but there's no hype and it's going to flop massively.

I forgot all about her lockdown party.

I must be in the minority that don’t mind How To Be Lonely. It’s not her best by a long shot but I don’t think it’s horrible.

Loved Bang Bang though.

Where is the bridge?

Well her new song sounds better than anything she has done since phoenix.

Fantastic track, back to her best imo. But it’s too short????

It literally just ends after the second chorus. Odd choice

The length/lack of bridge is an issue with the trend of making songs shorter so they can, in effect, be played more times, and it's unfortunately far wider than just Rita.

I really like this! I won't hear bad things about the Bang EP which was brilliant, but it's much better than How to Be Lonely.

Love this! Up there with one of her best for sure.

There are elements in the (post) chorus that are copied from Anywhere. :coffee:

Basically this. It's sounding great on first listen. Hopefully radio stations will jump on it and she can get a hit with it.

Yeah, the only thing that lets this down is that, like most songs nowadays, it's TOO DAMN SHORT! Could easily fit a bridge and another final chorus in there! :(

But I love it other than that.

I like this! Definitely would have been at home on Phoenix and that's a positive thing for me.

This is sounding great on the train to London this morning!

I echo about the “Anywhere” comparison post-chorus, I can hear the similarity!

It’s doing its job though, replayable AF! :music:

She is reliable to say the least in that her songs are always fine. This one could definitely have been on her last album.
I've barely come back to this. It really needed to be a good 30 seconds longer at least.
