Yeah S club got ripped off terribly, it's not even funny. For me the cream always rises to the top and Rachel did that.

It's crazy that the members of S club went along with the contracts they were given tbh

S Club 7 got ripped off definitely they only made like 200,000 a year each didn't they? They were essentially just paid very good wages but that's their own fault for signing contracts that they did I guess. I suppose you could argue, why did they deserve anything else as they didn't contribute anything to the process they were essentially just puppets having it all put on a plate for them (as were Steps tbf).

Going back to your initial thing about Rachel and Steps, I just don't see who she would replace I mean Claire, Lisa and Faye are all perfect for steps in terms of personalities and their voices etc...

I'm probably just biased when it comes to Rachel, she's great

S Club 7 signed contracts that meant that they were treated like employees of the management/record label with a monthly wage. It probably was appealing when they weren't having hits in the beginning and a safe option. The Pussycat Dolls that weren't Nicole signed a similar deal.

Steps and Spice Girls were smart enough to not sign such deals, hence why they're rolling in cash.

S club might have been ripped off, but they most likely have more cash than most of us. I'm glad we got a Rachel solo career though
Ya Id say they made alot more than most of us but a few of them seem broke now, Some of Rachel's solo stuff was good but I never bought an album from her. Steps signed a much better contract and I think I read 5678 was a one of single contract and then came the long term which they cleverly had adapted so that they would get their fair share of earnings.
this is all a lovely discussion about s club but this is the steps thread huns x

You're missing out, her second album is excellent a pop masterpiece, really should have been huge it's very Girls Aloud before they pioneered their sound. Her first album is tosh though bar a couple of tracks

Also, Spices were one of the biggest pop groups ever and wrote their own songs.

Just listening to a few steps songs today, loving summer of love at the mo. It would be a great album title if an album had a summer release.

Crikey, I wonder if this is actually licensed from them?

The producers of the show would have to get clearance from the songwriters/producers of the songs + I assume that they couldn't use the trademark STEPS in the marketing unless they got clearance from them... so probably?
