So I’m a bit behind all the posts as I was busy yesterday running around sorting my actual baby’s birthday. BUT I obviously can’t let our @officialsteps 24th birthday go by without celebrating. The 7th of May 1997 is a date that will be etched in my memory FOREVER. It was the day that changed my life in so many ways, good, bad and ugly 😂Mostly good of course. Steps has shaped my entire life one way or another personally and professionally and without our journey I have absolutely NO IDEA the path I would have ended up on? (Perhaps I would have been CEO of Burger King UK by now 😂😂) WE all have so many amazing memories of our time together and we have most certainly been on the ride of a lifetime, we’re still not done yet! There are only 4 other people in the whole world that have experienced pretty much exactly what I have and that is a rare bond to have after so many years! #STEPS25 is gonna be the year of years I reckon and for a “novelty manufactured Pop band” I think we’ve done ok and i’m so proud to be a part of it. So many photos and eras to choose but I think @littleprincessroses summed it up pretty well in this little vid, so Thankyou.

Thankyou all so so much for the support and sticking with us so loyally for the last 24 years, we honestly could not have done it without you guys and for that WE LOVE YOU! 💗

I think they have enough material to release a fresh greatest hits that will still appeal to those who bought the first 2, they have opportunities to really mix it with old and new and do a tour to support it.

I agree I'd take a new greatest hits but I think they will then take a few years out again ala Tears on the dancefloor / What the future holds.

A break is likely so a new studio album could be 2025 but with part 2 coming and a possible best of there is enough to keep us going and it would make the break feel shorter.

When browsing through some of the old threads, I saw the link to Lee’s spin-off The Latch project single.

 

I never even knew this existed until this Steps AF forum got made and I saw the thread :lol:

 

The song is rocky and actually surprisingly kinda good, very different to Steps

 

I’d heard of The Latch but never heard the song. It’s certainly different to anything done by Steps or any previous solo output.

Ooo yes Lee baby yeess!! That is surprisingly catchy, if a little underproduced.

Did they do more that one song? Because I'm positive I recognise the name.

 

I'm gonna dig into that a little more.

They've got a 3 track EP on iTunes and Apple Music with an acoustic version of Miracle and a live track called I Need You. It's not on Spotify though.

 

I dunno if they released anything else.

Never heard this before, its fairly catchy and so different to Steps, he sound great on it and it highlights vocally how underused he is in Steps.
