Don’t know why the salty reaction to him is, it’s an immensely popular album in the download, physical and streaming eras!

I think it’s more the fact that most of the sales come from neither buying nor listening to the album but just from stumbling across individual tracks from it on various playlists. There’s no disputing that it’s a fantastically popular album.

 

Given it’s either that or Taylor for yet another week I’m not too fussed though. -_-

In the same boat here, have no issues with Buble on top. He is the artist who has the most songs dominating at this time of year and hopefully means another week of 20k+ units. Hoping Sza can peak in the new year as more people discover the album.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if they're even top 100, album downloads are tiny...!

To be fair I imagine there must have been a decent number of people who actually put on the Bublé Christmas album in its entirety rather than a playlist.

It is the reason his album always does so well compared to say Mariah. He has the one Christmas album people will actually listen to the whole album not just 1 or max 2 tracks on Christmas playlists.

It’s not that it’s Buble. It’s that it’s only there because of Christmas playlist rather than people buying it or even seeking out the album to stream.

Buble's album is actually a GREAT seller, #21 last week in the UK. In the US it sold 8.5k (pure sales) which was 4th most in top 20 (it's currently #5 on their chart)

I guess the top 40 is probably going to barely change between now and Friday - mildly intrigued to see if any of those other Amazon songs can finally actually get a top 40 peak. I've heard the Maisie Peters one a couple of times now and it is inoffensive which makes it one of her better songs. (Am I right that one actually is an original song unlike the rest of the Amazon crop?) Nice to see Coldplay and Nat King Cole top 40 too.

Lol at Buble stuck at 7 yet again but guess Lizzo and Stormzy might fall on Friday and he may yet peak..
