December 28, 20223 yr Ignore me, Easy on Me went 38-1 last January. But is there a thread listing the biggest climbs maybe?
December 28, 20223 yr Well there was Adele rising 38-1 at the start of this year! (Though that was because of a reset of course). I do think RAYE will be a decent bit higher by Friday anyway, maybe around the mid to low teens? GAYLE was #14 in the equivalent chart last year.
December 28, 20223 yr Ignore me, Easy on Me went 38-1 last January. But is there a thread listing the biggest climbs maybe? Within the top 75 it was Pixie Lott 73-1 with Boys & Girls ;) If you expand to the top 100 this eventually got beat by Marvin Gaye ( :puke2:) moving 90-1 in 2015. Although IIRC if you count the unpublished top 200 (which there's no real reason to do) then Westlife's Mandy charted on imports and went something like 196-1.
December 28, 20223 yr Cheers :) I wonder if any of the late 90s #1s would have beaten that if you technically included the imports as the same single (although maybe they all charted around #45 anyway)
December 28, 20223 yr haha Westlife - the Al Martino of the downloads chart and the Captain Sensible of the Top 200!
December 28, 20223 yr Yeah I think Raye will end up in a similar position to Gayle’s #14 this time last year but with higher sales. Would be good if she can stay below the newly peaking Kelly. She’s very likely to knock Feliz Navidad out of the Top 20 unfortunately. I think Sam has a decent chance of staying Top 40 with the streams for the rest of the week being low for the Christmas songs and probably not that many non Christmas songs coming back into the Top 40.
December 28, 20223 yr Gross I mean at least it's a record that represents the nature of some of their fanbase flash in the pan #1s.
December 28, 20223 yr Author Always remember Labrinth went 48-1 after the XF performance! Not sure which chart it did this in because it went 85-1 officially!
December 29, 20223 yr Ignore me, Easy on Me went 38-1 last January. But is there a thread listing the biggest climbs maybe? Funny thing is that might not even be Adele's biggest climb? I think Someone Like You might have been like 47-1 or something like that.
December 29, 20223 yr Yes, 'Someone Like You' was 47-1 indeed, and that one was a genuine rise. Brit awards impact!
December 29, 20223 yr JANINE FOR NO.1!!! GET STREAMING Nah Ben for #1 with his cover of The Promise... WrFaSUMcDtk
December 29, 20223 yr Despite James Corden’s cringy introduction to it Cringy indeed. But people still liked him back then off the back of Gavin & Stacey.
