Posted December 31, 20222 yr Now Scared hit silver I’m curious to see what the next certification will be. • Tragedy/Heartbeat double platinum (get it over with!) • Love’s got a hold on my heart gold. • What the future holds (album) gold. Though it will take some time, especially with the last 2.
December 31, 20222 yr I think it will be WTFH going Gold. It was on 85k wasn't it so I reckon it must be around 90k by now.
December 31, 20222 yr Heartbeat/Tragedy going double platinum. I’m predicting Tragedy to go viral on TikTok in 2023 adding to a streaming boost.
December 31, 20222 yr Heartbeat/Tragedy going double platinum. I’m predicting Tragedy to go viral on TikTok in 2023 adding to a streaming boost. It is already double platinum in sales though OCC gave it 1.4 million yet they haven't certified it for some reason!?!?
December 31, 20222 yr It is already double platinum in sales though OCC gave it 1.4 million yet they haven't certified it for some reason!?!? Well it's a bit of a mystery... but my theory for it not being certified Double Platinum is because the Heartbeat/Tragedy Double A Side single hasn't sold 1.2m yet, and that it is Heartbeat alone that contributes downloads and streams to its figure, which isn't a song that does particularly well for them, and may explain why it's taking ages to pass 1.2m and get the certification. I've wondered whether the OCC is combining the above sales, with stand alone sales of Tragedy [digital/streaming]. Tragedy by itself would be under 200,000. Maybe the <1.2m and <200k figures are combined, and then rounded up to 1.4m. Unless it genuinely is on 1.4m sales as a Double A Side, and for whatever reason BPI has totally overlooked certifying it.

So weird! Also don't they normally use the highest seller for the double a-side sales? Weird they would use Heartbeat when Tragedy is clearly it's highest seller.

January 1, 20232 yr Ah thanks, in that case I’ll choose What The Future Holds going gold. Though I’d love it to be Loves Got A Hold On My Heart going gold. Eewww no… although I’ll take it Tbf  I think their single to go gold will be deeper shade of blue.
January 1, 20232 yr Author Love is ahead with it’s overal sales but Deeper gets more streaming. I think both will take some years to get there! Hopefully they ‘fix’ Heartbeat/Tragedy and WTFH will be next this year
January 1, 20232 yr What the Future holds part 2 I'd love to see go silver but think it will be a long wait. I'm assuming the platinum collection will make it first out of the 2.
January 1, 20232 yr The Platinum Collection is in a better position to gain from casual streams than any of the studio albums.
November 5, 20231 yr Author So, it turns out it was the PC reaching the silver status. What will be next you think?
