Back in 2021, Lewis made this thread, and I hoped we could do the same thing for 2023 as we look forward;

I will start with a fairly safe prediction that we will see more new music from Eliza Rose after the success of B.O.T.A in 2022. At the very least radio stations are bound to play any new music from her at peak times and it could lead to another mainstream hit too.

piri & tommy have been tipped to do well in 2023 after being nominated as one of the contenders for BBC’s Sound of 2023 award. The duo have already released a handful of songs together in 2021 and look set to get supported from Radio stations throughout the year.

One more for me to mention I think is LP Giobbi who is at the early stages of her career, I think she has some potential to blow up in 2023 with the right sound. It’s a bit of a gamble this one, but I think it could pay off soon.

A final one I’ve decided to stick my neck out for is Prospa who’s been about for a couple of years now, but I feel this year could be the one where they get a proper album out and a string of strong singles released. I’m still amazed at how well Ecstasy (Over & Over) did in 2020, almost managing to be a UK Top 75 hit but not quite.

I have high hopes for Aaron Hibell and I think he’s recently been signed by Sony. His remixes of Space Man and Running Up That Hill are amazing and were played on Radio 1 and he said he’s working on a lot of other remixes and original music for 2023. He’s likes cinematic music and is inspired by Hans Zimmer but I think he could make some bangers.

Echoing the support for piri & tommy though they had a pretty decent 2022 with a string of singles and their mixtape. They're clipping the edge of the charts so I'm hoping they continue to get more exposure and climb from there.

I do think goddard. is one to watch. He's obviously already scored a Top 10 by producing venbee's messy in heaven and also has the Cat Burns remix under his belt, but perhaps a lead track from him with a vocalist will bring him further success?

Lewis Thompson is also someone I think could have some success. His last two offerings have been strong!

I can't see Eliza getting another hit unless it's got any big hype!

They have left it quite late for a follow-up but I was surprised to read she's signed a major label deal with Warner that goes beyond BOTA. The label's head of A&R said in a Music Week interview, "in terms of future releases , we’ve already heard some incredible demos so watch this space.”

Rooting for yunè pinku to blow up this year !

Omg this

And Overmono are long overdue a mainstream breakthrough. Make it happen TikTok! Also expecting big things for Two Shell and Nia Archives

Looking back on this thread now I see a lot of the names mentioned have released new music this year and done quite well. No chart hits yet, but there is still time.
