Well the qualifying sessions have mostly been great this season, Max has genuinely had to work for most of his poles as the RB isn't so dominant over one lap but that won't make a jot of difference in the races.

K-Mag quite fortunate to keep his seat there tbh but I suppose he has enough credit in the bank from 2022.

Indeed, I was quite surprised that K-Mag has been kept on for next year. Maybe 2024 will be his last bite of the F1 cherry.

I think whoever loses out of him & Hulk next season will get the boot.

He's right, it's not unfathomable to think that Max could get 100 race wins by the end of the 2025 season!

Danny Ric out of the race due to an innocuous looking crash in practice :( Liam Lawson to deputise

The random trivia guru in me thinks this means Tsunoda is the first driver to have 3 different team mates in one season since Schumacher and Hill both did in 1994?

Just remembered Kimi also in 2009

Teams advised rain due to hit at 1503 local time (ie pretty much bang on lights out after the formation lap)

Ferrari pitting when they didn't have the tyres ready.

The rain making the start interesting.

Doesn't Ascari hold the record with Vettel for most conservative wins??

Yes and no.

9 consecutive Grand Prix wins is true but you have to discount the Indy 500 (not a GP but counted to the WC) for the run. Ascari doesn't have any claim to the record for WC race wins because of this.

Additionally the 1952 and 1953 seasons were not run to F1 regulations but to F2 rules.

Basically to include Ascari you have to do a bit of gymnastics but Vettel and Verstappen are up there outright and alone for both GP and F1

nice interesting race thanks to the rain ;)
