Hello and welcome to the 22nd edition of Club Bizarre! As the winner of the last Chill Out edition, Dobbo, has passed this time so I will be taking up the hosting rights, Dobbo's also forfeited the right to post last time's winner, so here is last month's honorary winner instead :D

Onto this new year though and to start the year, we are taking a trip around the world!

I have decided to focus on three continents that get typically overlooked in Club Bizarre by devoting this edition specifically to Africa, Asia and South America. This should give you a plethora of exotic and unique dance styles to choose from and take you down some interesting rabbit holes. Try to ensure it falls under the 'dance' umbrella, although ofc. dance in these parts of the world can be seen differently so feel free to experiment x

The only main rule is that the artist must be from or based in a country in one of these three continents. Transcontinental countries are acceptable providing the artist is from the part of the country that is in the appropriate continent. Instrumentals and English Language songs are fine provided that criteria is met. Think of it as a mini worldvision but for the dance forum. All entries are subject to the veto from the dance mods so please avoid big chart or streaming hits or songs that have crossed over.

Please also check the BJSC, Club Bizarre and Unknown Pleasures archives to ensure your song hasn't been sent before.

Please confirm your entries via Google form using this link. You have a week to do this until Saturday 14th January 23:59 GMT

Anyone can enter so please don't be shy if this is your first one. This is as always an anonymous contest so please do not reveal your entry.

Happy searching and let's go :yahoo:

Sent one but might be vetoed (or that I missed it on the past contests).

If that happens, I have an alternative.

Julien Bracht the rightful winner after all :cheeseblock:

Love this theme idea, should hopefully be able to find something interesting!

I will pick from my many South African faves I think, I have enough of them <3
f***!!! I might have submitted it too late as I think my choice would be taken quickly given the theme

Need to check the nationalities of all the randomness on my potentials playlist then!

Also, poor Faux Tales!

Great theme! Have sent something that I've been loving recently.

Confirmed something stunning that I hope isn't too obvious lol x

'Spin My World' re-up 2k23. Let's gooooooo! x

There are a couple of recent new covers of that floating about atm funnily enough! But I’ve gone for something else instead and that can be left on the shelf as an iconic failure </3

I'm still gobsmacked how Spin My World DNQ. What a song and Tyla recently also. Hopefully Club Bizarre isn't as xenophobic to South African entries. I'm gonna stand here and pretend Prince Kaybee & Busiswa never tanked :kink:
Okay so I have confirmed something which I've sat on for a while anyway and hadn't realised the country it came from :kink:

I'm sure we could have assumed Rich's entry would be a South African one anyway but I feel like it's time for a reminder this is an anonymous contest

(on that note, I've just remembered I have a song contest potential from yeeeears ago that would fit this theme although I think I remember PMing it to people and/or shilling it on plug.dj so that might rumble me if anyone has a good enough memory :kink: I actually totally forgot the song existed though - and it took me a minute to even remember what it was called so was worried it might be lost to time for a moment! - so if nothing else I'm glad this theme has just given me a reason to revisit it, I'll hold onto it as a backup if I can't/don't find anything new ~ This exact scenario describes me sending Futuregrapher's 'Kjarninn' to a previous Club Bizarre and it completely bombed so maybe it's not the best idea xx)
