It's 2 weeks on top for Release, as 220 KID and ASDIS hold off the late Terry Hall and The Lightning Seeds from getting Sense back on top 31 years on. Avril Lavigne & YUNGBLUD both get a first-ever top 3 to boot. Highest new entry is 1974 classic rock chart-topper at 9, You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet as Bachman-Turner Overdrive's drummer Robbie Bachman dies, leaving Randy Bachman (main singer and songwriter of The Guess Who and BTO) as the only Bachman brother still alive. I loved this record.

Reverend & The Makers get 2 top 10's in a row, Tiesto and Tate McRae get the highest entry with new material, 12:35 at an appropriate 35, that'll be 19 years of chart action for Tiesto then. Shania Twain shouts Giddy Up! as she grabs 25 years of chart action, and Bally Sagoo returns for the first time in 27 years with a Youtube oldie I just discovered and took a shine to, the laid-back Bollywood-ish 90's groove of Noorie. Check out the vampire/ghost video!

Miley Cyrus is back with some Flowers to brighten up the charts, and 15 years of great chart action I wouldn't have predicted 16 years ago. New Aussie Thomas Headon enters with the jolly Georgia, Pete Tong drafts in Ultra Nate for a revamp of her classic Free, and a new act to me, The Webb Brothers have a nice ballad to hold bottom rung with.

Hey John, some fab new entries there this week. 'You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet' is a classic of course and 'Flowers' a big grower. I was initially a bit peeved it was overtaking 'Midnight Sky' as that's still my overall fave of hers but this sounds very wide appealing for radio and it's astonishing to see it performing extraordinarily too :o '10:35' is a bop too. Not heard the Shania song yet.

Good stuff!

Hey John!

Wolf continuing to do nicely. I'm glad.

10:35 Is quite awful for me unfortunately. I'm not a fan.

Anti hero continuing to have a decent run and fall slowly..can't complain.

I do hope lavender haze can smash here. It's not amazing and I don't understand why it was the second most streamed track of the album but it is what it is. I do enjoy it for what it's worth.

I'm not a big fan of flowers either sadly. I was hoping for something a bit more punchy!

Nice chart ^_^

Hi John!

Nice to see "Release" still at the top, as well as the debut for the classic "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet", the big gains for "Back To You", "Golden Hour" and "Hero" and the debuts for "10:35" and "Flowers".

Great chart!

I love 'You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet', definitely one of my 70s faves.

'10.35' is a very catchy song. 16 years of Tiesto in your chart then? I didn't know you had charted his early stuff like Lethal Industry.

Elsewhere in your chart, I didn't know you liked Oliver Tree and Robin Schulz - Miss You - the synths and instrumental remind me a bit of Baby D - Let Me Be Your Fantasy.

Hi Rob! :) Glad you like BTO, and I agree about Midnight Sky - it's her greatest record to date, Flowers is good but it's not in the same league. Shania's is fun :)

cheers! B-)

Hey James! :) Yes I'm still loving Wolf! Pity you dont rate 10:35, I wasn't fussed till Radio 2 playlisted it and then it grew on me.

Taylor is beside her self (very nearly) in my new chart  Lavender has had a long run for a track that hasnt gone top 30 for me yet, but it's hit a new peak which is very unusual 3 months on for me. Flowers is no Midnight Sky, but I'm glad she got the number one slot as she was owed one for Midnight Sky peaking at 5-ish :D

Cheers! B-)

Hi Snakey! :) Thanks for dropping in nd glad you like BTO, I was mad on that back when I was sweet 16. Tiesto had an occasional chart career, his first as top billed was Love Comes Again with BT in 2004, 2010 with Nelly Furtado was next but he took 10 years to get his first top 10 (Wasted with Matthew Coma). Still going strong though 19 years on!

I can see the similarity to Baby D in Miss You, that's prob why I liked it so much

cheers! B-)
