Posted January 17, 20232 yr 15th January 2023 It's 2 weeks on top for Release, as 220 KID and ASDIS hold off the late Terry Hall and The Lightning Seeds from getting Sense back on top 31 years on. Avril Lavigne & YUNGBLUD both get a first-ever top 3 to boot. Highest new entry is 1974 classic rock chart-topper at 9, You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet as Bachman-Turner Overdrive's drummer Robbie Bachman dies, leaving Randy Bachman (main singer and songwriter of The Guess Who and BTO) as the only Bachman brother still alive. I loved this record. Reverend & The Makers get 2 top 10's in a row, Tiesto and Tate McRae get the highest entry with new material, 12:35 at an appropriate 35, that'll be 19 years of chart action for Tiesto then. Shania Twain shouts Giddy Up! as she grabs 25 years of chart action, and Bally Sagoo returns for the first time in 27 years with a Youtube oldie I just discovered and took a shine to, the laid-back Bollywood-ish 90's groove of Noorie. Check out the vampire/ghost video! Miley Cyrus is back with some Flowers to brighten up the charts, and 15 years of great chart action I wouldn't have predicted 16 years ago. New Aussie Thomas Headon enters with the jolly Georgia, Pete Tong drafts in Ultra Nate for a revamp of her classic Free, and a new act to me, The Webb Brothers have a nice ballad to hold bottom rung with. 1 1 1 11 RELEASE - 220 KID & ASDIS 912800 2 9 2 5 SENSE - The Lightning Seeds featuring Terry Hall 248500 3 6 3 11 I’M A MESS - Avril Lavigne with YUNGBLUD 406900 4 2 2 11 GONE WITH THE WIND IS MY LOVE - Rita & The Tiaras 396150 5 3 1 11 NEVER GONNA NOT DANCE AGAIN - P!nk 713400 6 4 4 8 RANDOMIZE - Otto Knows & Alex Aris 220800 7 8 1 15 ALL BY MYSELF - Alok, Sigala & Ellie Goulding 1029000 8 5 5 9 HOW 2 DANCE - Kaiser Chiefs 314000 9 NEW 9 1 YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTHIN’ YET - Bachman-Turner Overdrive 45000 10 18 10 6 HIGH - Reverend & The Makers 137800 11 11 1 14 WOLF - Yeah Yeah Yeahs 862400 12 7 7 9 YOU CAN FIND IT HERE - The Fizz 317500 13 13 4 12 SUMMER OF ‘42 - Kishi Bashi 485000 14 24 14 6 BACK TO YOU - Lost Frequencies, Elley Duhe & X Ambassadors 69200 15 28 15 8 GOLDEN HOUR - JVKE 127400 16 30 16 6 HERO - Martin Garrix & JVKE 66600 17 37 17 2 DIFFERENT DRUM - PP Arnold 40300 18 10 10 5 IT WON'T BE CHRISTMAS WITHOUT YOU - PP Arnold 182750 19 14 14 8 PEOPLE PLEASER - Cat Burns 156500 20 12 5 12 BIGGER THAN THE WHOLE SKY - Taylor Swift 533800 21 21 17 11 ALL THE WAY OVER - Sam Ryder 179400 22 25 22 7 HOLD ME - Fleetwood Mac 104650 23 23 1 17 DAYDREAMING - Harry Styles 942750 24 17 1 5 GHOST TOWN - The Specials 442000 25 15 10 9 LAST CHANCE (CHRISTMAS MIX) - Soft Cell 217350 26 19 1 13 LIONHEART (FEARLESS) - Joel Corry & Tom Grennan 887250 27 29 27 11 CRASH! - Propellerheads 134400 28 22 15 13 MADE YOU LOOK - Meghan Trainor 201650 29 16 3 5 GANGSTERS - The Specials 258200 605000 30 26 14 9 RIO - Mark Owen 203000 31 31 16 12 LIFT ME UP - Rihanna 210950 32 36 32 12 HERE THERE AND EVERYWHERE - The Beatles 139300 33 27 12 12 ATLANTIS - Seafret & Seeb 284900 34 64 34 2 100% PURE LOVE - Years & Years 24700 35 NEW 35 1 10:35 - Tiesto & Tate McRae 17500 36 43 36 8 THIS FLIGHT TONIGHT - Nazereth 91400 37 32 8 14 ANTI-HERO - Taylor Swift 376650 38 40 38 9 WHAT IT MEANS - Callum Beattie 112800 39 20 1 5 OUR LIPS ARE SEALED - Fun Boy Three 492100 40 41 40 5 THE LUNATICS (HAVE TAKEN OVER THE ASYLUM) - Fun Boy Three 65600 41 33 29 8 THE LONELIEST TIME - Carly Rae Jepsen & Rufus Wainwright 128000 42 35 8 13 MISS YOU - Oliver Tree & Robin Schulz 328300 43 51 35 12 LAVENDER HAZE - Taylor Swift 139550 44 34 27 11 WE ARE ALL INSANE - AWOLNATION 157950 45 46 45 2 NO PARADISE - Santigold 25750 46 50 46 5 SUMMERTIME - Fun Boy Three 50750 47 NEW 47 1 GIDDY UP! - Shania Twain 12500 48 53 48 2 SUPER MAGIC - Louise 23550 49 44 2 19 HEARTSTRINGS - M-22 & Ella Henderson 721550 50 60 50 2 EASY TO LOVE - Armin van Buuren & Matoma featuring Teddy Swims 22000 51 55 51 2 PARTY FEARS TWO - The Associates 22550 52 48 1 15 LITTLE DOES SHE KNOW - The Kursaal Flyers 591200 53 56 53 5 NO BAD DAYS - Flo Rida featuring Jimmie Allen 42850 54 42 4 16 FEEL IT COMIN’ - Lady Blackbird 510850 55 52 1 20 LOTTA LOVE - Nicolette Larson 837550 56 58 56 5 TUNNEL OF LOVE - Fun Boy Three 40300 57 45 4 15 WHAT NOW - Honey. 415900 58 38 32 8 I HATE YOU WHEN YOU’RE DRUNK - Olly Murs 121900 59 63 59 2 (IF PARADISE IS) HALF AS NICE - Amen Corner 17300 60 NEW 60 1 NOORIE - Bally Sagoo 10000 61 57 2 26 DANCE FOR YOU - Empress Of 849650 62 59 1 35 GRAPEJUICE - Harry Styles 1147500 63 NEW 63 1 FLOWERS - Miley Cyrus 7200 64 39 39 8 MY WHITE BICYCLE - Nazereth 100300 65 NEW 65 1 GEORGIA - Thomas Headon 7000 66 72 66 2 HEART LIKE A TRUCK - Lainey Wilson 12400 67 70 67 2 YOU TO ME ARE EVERYTHING - The Real Thing 12600 646600 68 69 68 2 THUNDER - Madison Rose 12600 69 66 1 29 WHEN IT’S COLD I’D LIKE TO DIE - Moby featuring Mimi Goese 1064550 70 73 70 2 JUMP (FOR MY LOVE) - The Pointer Sisters 11400 71 74 71 2 MONA LISA - Nat ‘King’ Cole 11000 72 71 1 27 ELOISE - Barry Ryan 641250 73 NEW 73 1 FREE (DO WHAT U WANT) Pete Tong, Ultra Nate, LP Giobbi & Jules Buckley 5400 74 75 74 2 GLASS ONION - The Beatles 10200 75 NEW 75 1 NOBODY HAS TO KNOW - The Webb Brothers 5000 DROP OUTS 47 47 6 TOGETHER THIS CHRISTMAS - Maisie Peters 61500 49 35 8 NOT ALONE - Khalid & Joe Jonas 113500 54 22 12 THE BANKS OF SACREMENTO - Nathan Evans 171000 61 1 11 MOONLIGHT FEELS RIGHT - Starbuck 600800 383350 62 19 13 TOO GOOD FOR GIVING UP - Liam Gallagher 185350 65 24 11 WHERE WE STARTED - Thomas Rhett & Katy Perry 148900 67 18 13 KISS ME - Dermot Kennedy 185500 68 28 10 MAN DOWN - CuteBad 129150
January 18, 20232 yr Hey John, some fab new entries there this week. 'You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet' is a classic of course and 'Flowers' a big grower. I was initially a bit peeved it was overtaking 'Midnight Sky' as that's still my overall fave of hers but this sounds very wide appealing for radio and it's astonishing to see it performing extraordinarily too :o '10:35' is a bop too. Not heard the Shania song yet. Good stuff!
January 18, 20232 yr Hey John! Wolf continuing to do nicely. I'm glad. 10:35 Is quite awful for me unfortunately. I'm not a fan. Anti hero continuing to have a decent run and fall slowly..can't complain. I do hope lavender haze can smash here. It's not amazing and I don't understand why it was the second most streamed track of the album but it is what it is. I do enjoy it for what it's worth. I'm not a big fan of flowers either sadly. I was hoping for something a bit more punchy! Nice chart ^_^
January 19, 20232 yr Hi John! Nice to see "Release" still at the top, as well as the debut for the classic "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet", the big gains for "Back To You", "Golden Hour" and "Hero" and the debuts for "10:35" and "Flowers". Great chart!
January 19, 20232 yr I love 'You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet', definitely one of my 70s faves. '10.35' is a very catchy song. 16 years of Tiesto in your chart then? I didn't know you had charted his early stuff like Lethal Industry. Elsewhere in your chart, I didn't know you liked Oliver Tree and Robin Schulz - Miss You - the synths and instrumental remind me a bit of Baby D - Let Me Be Your Fantasy. January 21, 20232 yr Hey John, Pink, Alok and Kaiser Chiefs still Top 10 :cheer: Lost Frequencies/Elley Duhé/X Ambassadors, Jvke, Martin Garrix/Jvke and oldie P.P. Arnold Top 20  Years & Years, Tiësto/Tate McRae Top 40 :yahoo: Best new entry bubbling udner: Miley Cyrus :w00t:
January 21, 20232 yr Great to see new entries from Shania Twain, Miley Cyrus and Thomas Headon :D Also good seeing new peak positions for Avril Lavigne, Lost Frequencies, Martin Garrix and Years & Years :D
January 22, 20232 yr Not much I could recognise from this week's debuts though x All By Myself rising a bit higher
January 26, 20232 yr Author Hey John, some fab new entries there this week. 'You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet' is a classic of course and 'Flowers' a big grower. Not heard the Shania song yet. Good stuff! Hi Rob! :) Glad you like BTO, and I agree about Midnight Sky - it's her greatest record to date, Flowers is good but it's not in the same league. Shania's is fun :) cheers! B-)

I was hoping for something a bit more punchy! Nice chart ^_^ Hey James! :) Yes I'm still loving Wolf! Pity you dont rate 10:35, I wasn't fussed till Radio 2 playlisted it and then it grew on me. Taylor is beside her self (very nearly) in my new chart  Lavender has had a long run for a track that hasnt gone top 30 for me yet, but it's hit a new peak which is very unusual 3 months on for me. Flowers is no Midnight Sky, but I'm glad she got the number one slot as she was owed one for Midnight Sky peaking at 5-ish :D Cheers! B-)

Hi Snakey! :) Thanks for dropping in nd glad you like BTO, I was mad on that back when I was sweet 16. Tiesto had an occasional chart career, his first as top billed was Love Comes Again with BT in 2004, 2010 with Nelly Furtado was next but he took 10 years to get his first top 10 (Wasted with Matthew Coma). Still going strong though 19 years on! I can see the similarity to Baby D in Miss You, that's prob why I liked it so much  cheers! B-)
