Shockah at the Logic Lost reveal x That song slapped though, great to see it doing so well.

Dobbo also spelt his own artist name wrong it appears  :kink:

Thanks Dobbo! Back on the podium :cheer:

Greetings,

First of all, I would like to thank to all of you who voted for Weird Genius ft. Sara Fajira - LATHI. It was one of my favorite electronic songs during the pandemic, but maybe also the most obvious one in this contest. Probably another one you could've sussed as Cow Cow himself is from Indonesia so I gather (I envy you if you've ever seen a Komodo Dragon x) and thank you for the lovely image  Cow Cow's votes ensure we have a joint leader as Yellow Magic Orchestra move up, it's certainly a good time to do so as we approach the last five votes. Laur receives yet another top 2 score on a night where it's attracted not much in between, marmite personified x

Back to Africa now with Tanzania and Ganzi Mdudu

No surprise there!

Jade coming to win yet another anonymous contest? :cheeseblock:

How does Jade do it? :o

Eep 2nd!! I don't think I've finished in that position before in Club Bizarre, make it happen (would be appropriate considering the song contest history of our hosts :kink: <3)

Thank you for the bronze medal, Cow Cow! I remember your song having quite an interesting drop (the good thing about being a last day voter is that it's still quite fresh in my head)

Edit: oh wait joint first!!! just saw my song on the second row before registering the number of points

Ganzi Mdudu - Chafu Pozi - Bré

:hi: after having my original choice ruthlessly, mercilessly, CRUELLY stolen from me (my spidey sense is it may have been by Chez himself x) I defaulted to sending something from a rather off the wall compilation of Tanzanian songs that I'd discovered earlier in my search and initially passed off as being a little too abrasive. Apparently this style of music (called singeli) is legit mainstream pop music in Dar es Salaam, I feel like that must be a rather bizarre culture shock! Maybe this song/compilation is a little on the intense side and there's some slightly more palatable singeli out there too but by all accounts it seems to be a genre based around crazy fast electronic beats, almost gabber-esque.

There's my little ramble for some interesting context I wanted to share, I kind of expected everyone to hate my song but it went down surprisingly well on SyncTube so maybe it's not as much of a lost cause as I thought, coming for 18th instead of 20th :cheer: Here are my votes on everyone else's picks, an interestingly varied bunch, really liked my top 7 in particular here:

Sadly the early bird gets the worm and Bre had to switch this contest, but I for one am glad you did as it brought not only a unique nation but truly chaotic vibes to the African entries, thanks for the educational write up x Bre's votes are mainly loyal to his fellow African entries, though it is his votes that take Jade to the top of the scoreboard for the first time! It's far from confirmed though as the race remains tight (#TerraJadaPhonia same 12 :cheeseblock:).

Before our final destination, we go to Peru for the second South American entry from DNGDNGDNG

Argh solely 1st now :cheeseblock: thank you Brerrrrrrrrr *.* oops not me snubbing both yours and Chez's songs  although us all sharing the same 12 is more like our usual in sync taste :P

I’ve enjoyed following along and being in contention, but I have to accept Jade is my winner once again, and she undeniably knows how to win everything!

We’ll see how well that last comment has aged in a few minutes time. :kink:

Ansel is behind this very unusual and weirdly ominous entry that I really appreciated and certainly should be much higher than joint last x His votes ensure Yellow Magic Orchestra having a much more comfortable lead, but several songs behind could still snatch it.

All will be answered as we enter our final nation - South Africa - with Addy, Dandy* and Kath still to be revealed (shocker at the last one x). First up who sent one of our contenders, Sun-EL Musician

Wondering if my votes will be last… I could definitely see how I could swing the result.

Thank you for the points, Ansel <3 definitely feeling a last minute snatch from somebody else on the horizon!

Yellow Magic Orchestra would be a great winner so hope they can pull through to the end now

So yes doing a little better than I expected but certainly not surprised that I'm not setting the scoreboard alight haha. I do love my entry otherwise I wouldn't have sent it but admittedly it was a case of me settling for a song that I'd otherwise have probably passed on in favour of something a bit more palatable if I hadn't been under such time pressure to reconfirm after my original entry was already a (later than) last minute pick oops! Glad a few of you have embraced the chaos B-) those being -goes back through thread- Lewis, Chez, Cow Cow, Cody, Rich and Dobbo! (I also approved of the giraffe pic )

And then right after my reveal I get a first medal position *.* thanks Ansel! Your song was a pretty cool one too, glad I was able to sneak it into my top 10.

Ooh glad to see Nihiloxica are a bit higher up now too! The current top 6 were all in my top 7 :cheeseblock:

16; DNGDNGDNG – Hiperbórea (Ansel)

Addy is behind this wonderfully atmospheric entry that has ended up doing very well. Ooft though the race is on as a snub for YMO means Logic Lost takes the lead for the first time this evening, could this be a late snatch? Monolithic may also have something to say about that

Let's see what our penultimate voter has to say, Aero Manyelo...

uhsting in first place is not something you see everyday! :kink: It would be nice to see him get the win though! Come on uhsting! :cheer:

Thanks Ansel for the 12 and Bre for the 10. I've moved up a bit now.

Kath naturally sent something from their home country, but the question was which one, this beautifully atmospheric slow burner was a great choice though and though it hasn't quite been up there with the other SA entries, it's getting there. Their votes shake things up further though as Logic Lost are in a very good position right now, technically any of the top 4 can win, though Funk Tribu are in the best position to dethrone if possible, all depends on whether Logic Lost can benefit from our last voter...

Let us unmask Karyendasoul...

I feel like I was the only one who didn’t like Logic Lost? With that winning and me flopping I think this is the most out of touch I’ve been with Club Bizarre… :(
