I'm still skeptical of it being payola and not just a weird algorithm quirk. Like, the whole point of astroturfing is for it to not be obvious so I can't say this is really doing the trick. But either way from that perspective I'm not convinced of the long term plan. If the whole point is to gain leverage to convince Spotify to add songs to their big playlists, I can't imagine they're too keen on it (and the way "Nonsense" has been shoved down a lot of those playlists since seems to imply this isn't something with long term prospects, unless that one is a failed experiment).

 

In any case, almost everything owes its long term success to playlists and algorithms which can go away shockingly fast if Spotify decides they don't like you anymore. Everyone has to play the game even if some are better at hiding it than others.

Shame P!nk fell a bit. Although with playlist support it should hopefully climb back up. It's improved a lot of Apple Music the last few days or so going from outside the top 200 now to a new peak of #68!

 

I believe she'll be in the UK promoting on album release week. Hopefully the album release and promo will help push the song further!

Happy to see Paramore making a dent! :cheer: Hoping "Running Out Of Time" will do decent numbers on spotify tomorrow. Would be nice if they could get a second top 75 hit from their new album with "Running Out Of Time". I really like their new album!
