Horrible obviously, but at least the family can have some closure. Can't imagine how all this awful tabloid speculation has been on them.

Yeah, not the news they wanted but at least there's closure now.

 

The intense speculation, including the vilification of her partner by media outlets and swathes of armchair detectives has been uncomfortable to witness when I've come across it.

Yes it's been really horrible seeing so many people blame her partner... why on earth would people do that? It's awful behaviour to be speculating like that as if it's some sort of TV drama series.

I'd say because, in the past, in a lot of cases, it has been the partner/husband. The one where he threw her weighed down in Lake Windermere, one in Ireland too. The partner is first to be suspected and checked out by police. Until we hear post mortem results we don't know how she died. She still could have been placed there since the searches.

Accidental death due to drowning is the Coroner's verdict today with no evidence of a third party.
