That seems great on paper, but if the album is for instance 14 tracks long, 8 bops doesn't make it a masterpiece and her "best body of work". But I'm intrigued. Wonder if there will be any singles or is it a surprise release?

I can't really see them going for a surprise release of the album for an act like Katy, especially if they're going for a comeback.

 

If she can actually pull this off, it'll show that anyone can!

Dont' know if it's just me but seems there's a genuine buzz/excitement around Katy in general in the run up to the album? I believe her discography has increased streaming-wise most noticeably Teenage Dream.

I think she did kind of mess up/let it happen, the biggest mistake was leaving it way too long between Prism and the next era (which she then made a complete dog's dinner of)

 

It felt like she'd rebuilt a little bit of the momentum again with 'Never Really Over', but then immediately undone that with 'Small.Talk' and put herself right back at square one.

Yeah, but they need to get people on board and to actually care before we get to an album.

I'm in the rare camp of loving Witness but Smile was a big misstep. So 4/5 albums being HITS for me: colour me hyped for her return. I think there's a lot of goodwill towards her too so hopefully she can also have some success not that it's the be all and end all.

I hope katys next album will be as good as teenage dream. The last Two albums was a let down.

They also mentioned this about "Woman's World" - "Will not say much on WW since it’s out soon but…… snippet doesn’t do it justice! Anthemic…. very Katy". Excited to hear it!

 

They heard 6 songs (which they mentioned was 1/3rd of the album... 18 song album? *_* ) and most of what they said was really positive about what the did hear. Interested to see who the collabs are with.

 

They also mentioned there are no ballads on the album apparantley, it's going to be a full pop/dance fun album.
