I heard she's no.2, but was no.1 before streams!!!

Wow amazing to think she was #1 for a hot second! Surely likely to fall during the week but here is hoping she can remain top 5, although I'll remain delighted with a second top 10 for her.

Tuesday midweeks:

 

#1 - 7,845 - Burna Boy

#2 - 6,143 - Claire Richards

#3 - 3,542 - Alice Cooper

#4 - 3,461 - Ashnikko

#5 - 3,057 - The Weeknd

 

Very comfortably ahead of #3 as things stand! :o

 

Maybe The Weeknd could overtake her by Friday... but imagine if Claire could hold on to #2 or #3! Well beyond what I thought could be possible.

 

Not to take away from how she's doing but she/her team managed to select a very good week to release in. If she holds on to #2 then there's a likelihood that it'll be the lowest selling #2 album weekly sales of the year so far. If she falls to #3 I think she could probably avoid being the lowest selling #3 of the year though.

 

 

EDIT: Also Euphoria has already outsold the first week sales of My Wildest Dreams (#9 - 6,104), although she didn't go overboard with formats on that occasion (Standard CD, Deluxe CD, Box Set with Candle )

Steps also released their album in the end of August last year.

I think the same, The Weeknd could potentially overtake her but i think she is looking good to stay top 3 which is a great result for her and also to have already outsold the first week of my wildest dreams is very good, i know sales will be frontloaded but hopefully she can pass 7k by the end of the week.

I still to this day do not understand why they chose a candle!!

It definitely was a very strange choice.

Thanks for this message earlier, it actually encouraged me to do it! :cheer: It's the first time I've ever bought a signed product from Banquet (I've used them before for RSD only). I bought a Marble vinyl to have signed (to me), and a CD signed for a friend (they have no idea about it so hopefully it'll be a nice surprise).

 

30 characters didn't really leave much room for imaginative messages... so I literally just asked for "To Jay lots of love Claire xx" lol.

 

I finally listened to the album earlier, and I found it quite enjoyable overall! It's all about her vocals really, strong to the extent that it lifts the songs above sounding like karaoke. Some of the production is a bit so so, but yeah, the album overall isn't what I feared it might be based on the teaser clips.

^^ The one to me says lots of love too :lol: Since they understandably changed the word count as you said it doesn’t leave many options of what to have written.

It's doubtful given that he has strong streaming. I think we could be seeing Claire get #1s in the sales/physical charts though which is great!

A sales/physical Number 1 should be easily achieved based on the current sales information.
