They will, even if they are not physically shipped yet I always get an email from them before the midnight cut off and I order a lot of the personally signed items from them, they know it’s all in aid of a chart battle so they will definitely register the sales this week.

That's good then! I was getting a bit worried because "Stock allocated to your order, and will be dispatched shortly" has shown for me since yesterday evening, I assumed there'd be some progress in the day time!

I do get what your saying as the superior Steps albums were far more worthy but i also wouldn't begrudge her the number 1 because of that. But as things stand i dont think its going to happen as i cant see Claire overtaking Burna Boy if anything i think she will be a fair bit behind when we see the official sales tomorrow. But number 2 on maybe 10k is a great result for Claire and far better than i ever expected.

Mixed feelings about Claire in relation to chart positions and Steps. It would absolutely have felt quite odd if Claire had managed to get a #1 with a studio album when Steps have only done that once themselves, back in 1999. However I would also have been very pleased for her.

 

Honestly even her possibly reaching #2, like Steps have often done, feels surprising! This success also puts her above artists I feel are somewhat her peers appealing to the same audiences - such as Emma Bunton's 2019 covers album (#11), Louise's recent two albums (also both #11) and Sophie Ellis-Bextor's last two releases (both #8). It's an interesting revelation to me that Claire has stronger fan support.

They are great artist comparisons that highlight how well Euphoria is performing for Claire.

Poor Louise getting number 11s twice that awful unlucky after all the effort.

I'm not sure she has more fan support just that as time is going on record labels are getting better (maybe not the word I'm lucking for) at getting every last sale out of fans first week. Emma 'only' had 5 formats (non included any extra music), did no signings, non of those intimate shows where you get an album for like £2 with your ticket, no store extended download versions midweek, no big price reductions midweek.

 

 

These acts need to use every trick in the book for top 10 and Claire has been very on the ball with this album.

My Banquet order is showing as dispatched despite no dispatch email - I’m certain they would have included the sales in the chart count this week as it’s the only reason labels and artists do it.

Great to see her number 2 but I'm a little disappointed she fell just shirt of 10k but its still a great result.

Yeah I’m annoyed that Alan Jones didn’t mention totals for My Wildest Dreams or the H & Claire album considering he mentioned them both in his article. <_<

 

Such a massive achievement for Claire! I hope she’s not too disappointed about not reaching #1 because even being #2 is huge and unexpected. Yeah she came so close to 10k, that’s a slight shame!
