Honestly a sad state of affairs that it’s not uncommon these days for an album to be #2 with less than 10,000 sales. Which makes it more frustrating that all the Steps #2 albums sold considerably more than this!

 

By the way no #1 albums in 2023 have sold less than 10k, so she wouldn’t have got to #1 another time at least!

Ya the album sales have collapsed and less than than 10k for number 2 is getting more and more common as is a high debut and a massive drop on week 2 and sadly Claire will be no different.

Banquet items finally shipped this afternoon!

Banquet items might help it stay low top 100 on Friday do you think?

Honestly I’m sure those sales would have counted to this week, the actual shipping of the product doesn’t trigger the sale.

^^ This, Banquet do these week in week out and they are purely for chart battles and positions - I’m sure they were counted on the day or day after she signed them.

Really good - she held the iTunes and Amazon #1 all week and the 2 x store exclusive downloads certainly boosted the figure too.

I believe it’s 100% streaming!

The Highlights does have physicals, which seem to sell reasonably well (CD is currently #99 on Amazon UK) but the vast majority of its sales each week are from streaming.

Huge congrats to Claire although I do lowkey wish she had been #3 so not to tie with the vastly superior Steps releases over the last few years lol.

Number 2 for Claire is so brilliant for her and Claire seems over the moon with the chart result.

Love how genuinely happy Claire is with the result, even if her team felt it would be a Top 5+, it seems that Claire certainly didn’t and is genuinely happy with its success.

 

To shift almost 10k and at one point be challenging for the #1 spot is a massive achievement especially after the first album just made the Top 10 and was boosted last minute to do so by the personally signed copies via her website.

Ya she genuinely came across across so happy with the result in the video she posted.

Back up to #2 on iTunes following on from her TV today… snatch that 2-98 official chart activity Claire :cheer:

 

(Seriously though I have next to no expectations of this holding on for a 2nd week will be mega if it does).

Climbing back to 2 is good, maybe if Claire had even a small bit of promo this week she could snatch that 2-98 chart run but i have zero expectations for the 2nd week.

A meet and greet ideally would be in place to help this week.

Im happy with that, least if nothing else it has sold a couple of hundred this week minimum, i honestly expected her to be about 48 places lower than number 48 in todays mids.
