Oh good christ no. The last one was more than bad enough but unfortunately i've just heard this one and it's atrocious.

Can we please stop making her a thing again. Like instantly?

It is already pretty big in Australia and New Zealand (although he's always been more popular there than he is here I think). I was hoping we'd avoided it here when it was still not charting upon the album release but yeah looks like it's gaining pretty steadily in the week and a bit since then. Fun.

Meanwhile he has 5 of the top 10 in the US this week and a record 36 of the Hot 100 (i.e. his entire album, he gets the record because Drake has never released an album with that many tracks... yet)

Yep country music tends to do better in Aus than UK overall (although not spectacularly well). Imagine some of it's due to the demographic. white artists tend to do better in Aus charts anyway from what I can see.

Yeah we can carry on not jumping on this Morgan Wallen/Walker Hayes/Luke Combs etc... train thank you very much.

And also Miracle needs to hurry up and get that extra boost to pull into #1 position now my hopes for PP have died a death. I simply cannot be doing with two months of Ed Sheeran doing the same thing and pretending it's something different topping the chart.

A lot of it specifically is centred around Queensland and northern New South Wales (specifically Tamworth) which has a strong local scene. Speaking as someone who lives on the opposite side of the country, it's not really a big deal here. That said, "Last Night" may as well be a pop song (and I believe it was pushed to pop radio first in the US) so it's not that radical to see it breaking out.

And yes, Australia is incredibly white.

wow 36 songs in the t100, thats crazy, they really should import the occ 3-track rule :D

Superstar Pride back in the autoplay algorithm? (it's been back on Spotify for a few days so not sure why it's taken this long to re-enter)

"Make Me" is a re-make of the 90s dance hit "U Sure Do".

"Christmas Kids" has to win the award for most misleading song title of the year then (to land on Spotify's chart at least, the song itself dates from 2010), it has nothing to do with Christmas and more to do with Phil & Ronnie Spector's abusive relationship

Also, lol "Mother" coming to be an actual hit

Wasn't there another remake of 'U Sure Do' in Club Bizarre not too long ago as well or am I thinking of something else

Technically, 'Make Me' is another interpolation of Donna Allen's 'Serious' which 'U Sure Do' also uses - they just use the same parts of the song (not coincidentally I guess, as the latter is well remembered).

J. Cole - No Role Modelz is up to a new peak of #42.
