Having heard both 'Miracle' and 'River' now, my money's on the former to be number one this week! I know Calvin has never debuted at number one in the streaming era but I've got a feeling this one could.

Is it not impossible that the autoplay magic has shifted from Niall to The Weeknd? It's less noticeable when the song's already high up but just on raw numbers it kind of checks out.

 

(Unless there's a more logical reason that the remix has increased by 3 million daily streams in 2 days globally)

Mae absolutely should be a hit in the UK. It's the definition of today's dance-pop sound in the UK.

 

Iirc though (just by various tweets I see every now and again - although this sound isn't nearly as talked about in a negative way as Country is lol), the rest of the world aren't really AS into the "Love Island" type track like this as the UK are. So I'm really intrigued to see how it does.

 

It's not my thing, personally (never has been really - this, Becky Hill, Tate McRae (when I go to sing this in my head for some reason I always end up at '10:35' ), Anne-Marie, RAYE (her features) etc.. etc..) but I definitely see an audience for it here so if it doesn't become a hit here, I will be shocked tbh (I don't think it should fall away quite so quick even after the competition either)
