Ouch! One of Brian May's best songs, there, though not quite up with We Will Rock You or '39 off A Night At The Opera, which should have been a single.
You Dont Fool Me is under-rated, but is a bit too dance-ish I guess, and I like all the Highlander movie stuff.

38th - Backchat, 1982

Score: 337

Average score: 16.85

Highest: 37 - Brer

Lowest: 0 - AH Gold

Polyhex entry:

21/08/1982 Queen Backchat 40 48-{40}-46-60->4

The 4th single from the "Hot Space" album, generally considered one of their weaker albums, this just scraped into the Top 40. The track has a funk influence to it and belonged to a phase when John Deacon experimented with different genres.

The 3rd single from "The Miracle", this notably features all the band members' names in the lyrics and has an interesting video game themed video.

'Back Chat' is pretty good, nice and funky. 'The Invisible Man' I thought I didn't mind either but on more than one listen it actually sounded worse than I thought oops.

Polyhex entry:

23/12/1995 Queen A Winter's Tale 6 {6}-13-21-41-59-74->6

This psychedelic feeling song was not released until December 1995, but written by Mercury shortly before his death in 1991. He recorded the vocals in a small house apparently, but the track was not put together until much later.

I started following the charts after Five Live EP, so Heaven For Everyone and A Winter's Tale were the first Queen songs to chart in that time - maybe that's why I have a soft spot for them, but the latter is so poignant yet polished it felt like Freddie's last hurrah.

pretty happy with most of the ones left - except Bicycle Race which just is so annoying, Tie Your Mother Down which was always a mistake to release as a single...

I liked it as well. Not classic Queen obviously but still decent for what it was.

and I liked all of those 'Las Palabras..' & 'The Miracle' I found myself coming back to quite a bit during and after I had ranked. Again not essential Queen but very decent ones nonetheless.

'Thank God Its Christmas' is the one obviously you'll have heard longer but it's solid albeit not among the great Christmas classics.
