It’s done what most Kylie features do - charts on iTunes and then disappears, I’m not sure remixes and a video will save it if it’s not growing organically on its own merit.

 

It of course would have been nice for it to take off (and still obviously could) but chart activity aside it’s always a bonus to get new Kylie material.

The difference is this is Oliver Heldens track.

 

He will play it in his sets, he will get remixes done etc and he seems to have good backing of Ministry Of Sound.

 

It's done really well considering no promo, no radio plays and one mid week download release.

 

Will be interesting to see what happens when if drops off those New Music Friday playlists and if it can get more.

 

I am optimistic they have more planned for this. If Kylie is doing visual stuff for KM16 then she could easily do some kind of video for this if RCA want it.

I dont hugely follow streaming numbers, if the song was to chart or a Kylie song in general would she need to be doing at least 3 times these daily amounts to stand a chance of charting without downloads, physicals etc.

These are worldwide streams and it's hard to say how many of these come from the UK; you would also have to consider that there's a different streaming ratio for premium and ad-funded streams in regards to the official chart. It took nearly 60k streams to reach the daily UK Spotify Top 200 and nearly 1.05m to reach the daily Global Spotify Top 200 yesterday.

As above the daily global streams are ok for a Kylie track but it won’t be troubling the official charts with those numbers, of course there are other streaming platforms but Spotify is the biggest and a good indicator overall.

So it's really a long way off and needs to increase alot to have a chance of anything. A bundle of 99p cd singles could do the trick !

It's on 580 playlists but most are tiny, such as small football team playlsits. Some biggish ones. It will drop off the new music friday lists soon.

They need to release a 2 track 99p EP with extended Mix on both downloads and to Spotify. This is an easy way to increase streaming, but the numbers are not bad at all for a song that may well be looking to have a closer to summer peak? Remember no promo except a few organic tweets.

 

Really needs a few radio playlists and video. I am guessing the extended Mix is exclusive to Beatport for a few weeks? The song is about to drop out of the Itunes top 100 so would be good for another Mix to be released. Remember Oliver said he releases to Beatport as this is where other DJs can listen and take the stems to remix it into their sets or have a go at remixing them. I am sure we could get a big name remix soon

 

It's getting good reviews so who knows......always optimistic. But it's very rare to see Kylie go up in streaming after its first week, its usually the opposite.
