Boyzone

I am no Spice Girl fan by any chance but I actually think Goodbye is one of their best

Can't believe Truly Madly Deeply has not got a single vote... I mean I like the song but no votes worthy, hmmmm

It’ll be getting my vote pretty soon I think.

I suppose it's probably escaping votes by there being ballads in a similar vein which are more bland, and also the more in-your-face tracks which are more likely to elicit a reaction.

I'm not voting tactically, Celine deserved better, and I seem to be the only one that thinks Truly, Mushly, Drippy is worse than anything up for votes. I'll take Goodbye or Boyzone anyday at least they've got tunes.
Savage Garden were pretty bad, especially that one song that goes "I knew I loved you before I met you" come on :D that's worst than Westlife/Perfect shit :D

Savage Garden's ballads were nice for what they were, if corny, but yeah To The Moon and Back, Affirmation and I Want You are excellent.

Truly, Madly, Deeply ranks about 4th or 5th out of the original 10 here for me, but I like all of them. I do prefer No Matter What to Goodbye, so it's a shame if that's going to leave first.

1998 was definitely the year of big ballads, with those three plus How Do I Live and My Heart Will Go On in the top 10 and then Viva Forever, Heartbeat, I Don't Want To Miss A Thing, Frozen, To You I Belong, Finally Found and I Love The Way You Love Me all in the top 40 of the year along with Angels and Never Ever hanging around from the previous year. So many more big ballads beyond those too.
